Hey Rob somebody under the comments section under a post you had hit me up and told me to hit them up on teams. They claim that I won play PS5 at the Mac pro notebook. Are you really doing this or is it a scam

My prized possession when it comes to comics is the final issue of Emerald Twilight. I managed to get my hands on a copy that was actually printed correctly so that Hal properly lines up with the holographic effect as he erupts from the power battery.

PSA the extra rings do not increase his power, just his stamina. He dogwalked everyone on his own stats

Justice League: Hey has anyone heard from Green Lantern today

Remember Hal engaged in a brutal planetary duel against Sinestro—who was fully bonded with and empowered by the fear entity Parallax—and won through overwhelming determination.

The fight between Hal and Sinestro is still my top 2 favorite GL fights ever. Seeing them use everything their rings have then just BEATING on eachother bare handed on the wreckage of Oa was insane. That and Sinestro's last words hit everytime I reread it

“A child that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.”

Hal Jordan, the man who Leeroy Jenkins’d his way to nigh-omnipotence.

“Alright Hal, pick a card from the box. They all got one random word on it and we got a storyline to tie in that correlates.”

Picks a Card

“…Uhhh, it just says ‘Genocide’.”

I get that they retconned it so Hal wasn't really in control of himself so that he could be redeemed, but i still prefer when it originally happened and it was just Hal losing it because his city was destroyed and the guardians wouldn't help him. It made him more human, instead of the copout of "he was possessed by paralax"

All this could've been avoided if the guardians just gave hal therapy

This story and the weight it puts on Hal’s character is why he is one of my favourite superheroes

I'm so glad we're getting more Green lantern content. When It came to DC comics I always enjoyed the Green lanterns the most.

It warms my heart to see all these new green lantern fans 😭 like omg Green Lantern is getting all the love he deserves!!! 🖐️😭🤚

Love coming back here to hear how strong and what a legend my boy Hal is, after them doing him soooo dirty in the Lanterns show 🤦‍♂️

A great story made even better with the introduction of parallax

I remember seeing that cover with Hal blinged out with rings and I was like, "Oh, sweet baby jeebus..."

I remember my dad coming home one day from his work with a couple of cardboard boxes and asking me to help put them into the tool shed next to our house. One day, he asked me to go to the tool shed and open the boxes. When I did, I was met with a massive collection of comic books from the '70s and '80s and some early '90s ones as well. Among those were a bunch of comic books about Green Lantern. There were some that were team-ups with Green Arrow or occasionally the Justice League. But no matter how hard I tried, i could just never get into any of the GL books because Hal Jordan just didn't appeal to me and I felt disconnected from any of his stories or experiences. Then somewhere in the 90s, along comes a story called Emerald Twilight and i remember buying the first two comics in the series and actually being entertained because he finally had an existential crisis and turned evil. Then I bought the entire series and eventually I bought the trade paperback so that I wouldn't have to read through my comic books. I actually found myself interested in Hal Jordan for the first time because he actually had a story arc that made sense. From then on I read everything Jordan was involved in up until The Final Night. In the meantime, i also became a die-hard Kyle Rayner fan, and I am so to this day. To me the biggest mistake DC Comics ever made was bringing Hal back from the dead and attributing his descent into madness to being possessed by a space bug.

There is something so funny about the pretense that a guy named "Sinestro" used to be a good guy.

That cover with him holding up the rings and the yellow/gold light on his teeth, goes hard man
