There’s a Donkey Kong YouTuber named Kong Kompendium that I really like, and I would love if you were able to do a collab with him. He’s very bright, and is a wonderful speaker. The only thing I’m disappointed in is the number of videos he makes, because it’s not nearly enough. Please do a Donkey Kong related collab with him.

Your regular reminder that Jungle Beat on the gamecube can be played WITHOUT the the DK bongos

Bandy comes in clutch. I love these Scott's Stash type vids tbh.

Jon is my favorite YouTube guy to listen to. Swear I don’t miss a video he’s part of. 🐐

DK64 in B tier is crazy. The rap alone makes it A tier

Really think DKC Returns deserves S rank. Yes, it's not as creative as Tropical Freeze, but I think the level design is really fun. It's also more challenging than it's sequel which makes for a more engaging experience.

13:20 someone did an outstanding job redoing the colors for the gba version that has them be nearly the same as the original. Insanely cool.

Donkey Kong 64 S Tier

48:49 “Even like the swimming in Returns”

Ah yes my favorite part about Returns…All the water levels…

49:09 I have a job where I work with kids at an after school camp, and one of the kids and I were talking about this game and he asked me for spoilers, saying he did not care, so I told him, and he was awestruck with how the game ends.

It was an absolutely joy to edit a video with Jon in it again after having him for one of my own videos! He's got the Best voice on the Internet!
Also I am completely with you that DKC3 is the best in the Trilogy! #KiddyKongDidNothingWrong 🐵

Replayed all of Diddy Kong Racing on my Steam Deck last year - it definitely holds up. And god it's nice to have some genuine challenge with the boss battles.

LOOOOOOVE hearing people respect both the PAON games and the GBA remakes of the Country games. The peg climbers are fun platformers and the GBA remakes don’t get enough credit for the improvements and additional content.

More collabs with Jon please I love him

Nathaniel: you NEED to stop talking over your guest.

Jon is my goat, so excited to hear him talk about these games

Just a couple notes about the misinformation on DKC 3 on GBA:
There is no intro or ending cutscene in Donkey Kong Country 3 on GBA, that's like an infamous thing about the game. The scene used in this video is a fan-made scene using the backgrounds from the cutscenes in the first two DKCs on GBA. Additionally, it features an extra world called Pacifica not in the original. The new soundtrack is generally praised by fans of David Wise as he does the soundtrack for this title and people consider it the bridge between his work on DKC 2 and Tropical Freeze, the original took a different approach as it was made by Eveline Novakovic (nee Fischer), who worked with Wise on the original DKC, and was much more atmospheric. The main reason for the change was because of the GBA's sound limitations with the bass of some songs causing the system to combust. A lot of other small changes that make the port interesting too such as the Swanky VR game similar to the Knuckles Chaotix special stages, Wrinkly Kong worshiping the Banana Birds instead of exercising and playing N64, Cranky's Karate Dojo, and the altered world map.

48:52 there’s no water in returns. there’s no swimming

5:20 I searched it up and apparently Donkey Kong Jr. Math is the only game in the Education Series, which I find really funny

I agree with Bandy that DKC3 is the best of all the 3 but I love all 3 dearly.
