It has been a too long since the last 3D Mario but people are being annoying when they ignore every other game coming out for the system. If Mario fans can get invested in other Nintendo franchises like Fire Emblem, Metroid or Kirby, you'll always have something new and interesting to play.
I want Nintendo to release a statement saying, “Here’s what the 3D Mario game would look like if we released it today” and it’s just the most unfinished game they’ve ever created
Can't wait to see those Nintendo is doomed videos with that one image of Miyamoto looking nervous with his hand on his head or the other one where he has his hands up
Great video. I think Nintendo changed their strategy from switch to switch 2. Because the Wii U was such a failure, we had to have all the big system sellers right out of the gate in the first two years of the switch. Mario kart 8 port, new 3d Mario, new 3d Zelda, new super smash bros. This was great for selling systems in the early years but these games drowned out the really great smaller releases that came to the console in the coming years. With switch 2, Nintendo is leveraging the success of switch 1 and using it to take risks promoting smaller and more niche games, giving them the spotlight before we see the massive heavy hitters dominate the switch 2 conversation.
3D Mario games take about 4~ years to make now. We already got Bowser's Fury which was a smaller experience made in 3~ years since Odyssey, and DK Bananza came out 4.5 years after that (Made by the 3D Mario team). I ain't expecting a new 3D Mario game until at least 2029
7:50 I will argue mario gets less important the more franchises nintendo has to rely on. That's not a bad thing, but it is a fact that if you have 12 sustainable franchises each franchise has to do less work.
