Addendum Section:
1. Guys... I found a new tape in my collection 😱: https://twitter.com/saganhawkes/status/1483236529073897472

2. Technically not wrong, I just didn't touch on it for time's sake, but I think its worth mentioning. After Jay watches the tape that Tim was hiding from him, we later learn his first reaction wasn't to go and attack Tim. He gets lost in Rosswood Park and calls Tim to apologize, and wants to continue working together. He's attacked by the Operator, and seems to go through some sort of personality change from here. I feel like its similar to what happened to Alex, slowly making their behavior more violent. You can see this in Entry #82.

3. Apparently there's some pretty serious accusations around the creator of TribeTwelve, so I'd recommend taking those into consideration when looking at other Slenderverse creations: https://www.reddit.com/r/TribeTwelve/comments/is0avp/tribetwelveadam_rosner_accusations_everything_so/
To be clear, this has nothing to do with the creators of Marble Hornets, TribeTwelve and its creator are completely and totally separate.

One of my favorite comments on Marble Hornets was, "To be fair, Alex is acting very normally for a college art film director"

It’s easy to forget how much of it was an actual straightforward narrative rather than just a bunch of screaming and running through the woods. While we’re all nostalgic for it, I think videos like this that look over what the story was are excellent, nice work dude.

"YOU BROUGHT YOUR DOG!" in isolation almost sounds like he's just drunk and excited to see the dog 😭

The very early planning stage; them just writing the entire story on disorganized note cards and basing the name on two completely random and innocuous things; is the most chaotic neutral artistic process I've ever seen or heard.

Ah Marble Hornets.
The days when Slendy was actually used well and could be scary

I think Slenderman is creepier without tentacles.
He seems more innocuous, more pedestrian.
He's still ominous, but it leaves his actual nature to your imagination.

The fact that Marble Hornets started exactly 10 days after Slender Man was created has always impressed me. I found MH back in 2014 and it’s always been my favorite

I never noticed that Alex setting fire to Tim's house was done completely practically.
I just imagine Carl and Troy standing off to the side with fire egstinguishers ready to put that shit out.

Can you imagine my horror as a 17 year old girl in a frat house for the first time being shown Marble Hornets (literally right after it came out) with the framework that it was REAL, and then being told that it was filmed in THE SAME TOWN THAT I WAS CURRENTLY IN??!?! This totally influenced my love for horror and especially analog horror now, like 10 years later

Think about it. If we didn't have Marble Hornets, it's possible we would've never gotten any of the other horror series we all know today like Everymanhybrid, WhisperedFaith, Dark Harvest, and MLAnderson0, as well as analog horror series like The Walten Files, The Mandela Catalogue, and Gemini Home Entertainment. Thank you, MH, for existing.

My biggest takeaway from this video is that hoodie and masky were not in fact 16 year old skinny anime boys. I love looking into creepypasta content that I only learned through fanart on deviantart when I was twelve. But yeah great video like always, loving the vibe

Magnificent! Nostalgic, inspiring, and a wonderful effort on all fronts in your coverage. (And thanks for the love, Sagan!)

I've always been of the opinion that the operator is not the entity, but rather a symptom of the sickness.

Like a metaphysical rash, it manifests when the true entity, the sickness, grows too strong.

Your discussion at 44 minutes is so perfect. It’s so impressive what they were able to pull off. The shot where it pans to the operator with alex’s face in the corner and it barely gets hit with the flashlight is so scary and even more eerie with the context of the whole story.

As an og fan and reader of the comic continuation, I genuinely hope it doesn't end with "it was all a dream" or "it was just radioactive waste left behind in rosswood park".

I hope it's an open ended conclusion that still alludes to the possibility of something cosmic or paranormal. I'd hate to have invested so much into this world that's obviously otherworldly to the real world idea that it was simply radiation poisoning.

I'm always so hesitant to watch anything talking about Marble Hornets since the series is so near and dear to my heart, but I'm actually not too afraid to watch this one

i gotta say, in a world where so many horror stories present psych medication as suppressing one’s humanity or power, i really appreciate that this series seems to present tim’s psych meds as a way to combat fear, as an empowering tool

😭Knowing the origin of Masky and Hoodie has cleansed my spirits and watered my crops. Being in the Creepypasta fandom I somehow never knew about Marble Hornets.😕

This and Everyman Hybrid are probably the most iconic Slenderman series in my opinion
