Any rackets that I missed in the top 15?

I completely agree with his opinion.
That's why I can trust his review.
And Vcore is powerful, Defyer is control and crisp feel

If you’re doing rankings/comparisons, maybe go a little in depth on specific lines that have a holy grail model (Eg. Blade V5, Ezone DR, Radical IG) and see if your ‘rackets are better these days’ holds up against the ones everyone still says are the best. I’d like to know if it’s nostalgia or maybe just feel was better then

Coming from a Radical MP, the Yonex Vcore 98 was an easy transition. Stable, swings faster and is so controlled. Loving it.

As a recent VCore 98 convert I truly agree. It's a marvellous racket. It didn't take me that long to switch from the Speed MP. To be honest, I immediately loved the directional control and the spin that gives me more depth control the harder I swing. My 2HBH is the only aspect that took a while to adjust and it is still not at the levels of the Speed in consistency while being higher quality. I previously changed from a Speed Pro which was even better for 2HBH but all the other positives are absolutely worth it. One thing to note is that when everyone is talking about how powerful the VCore is, this is relative to other 98s. Against a 100 it is significantly less powerful unless you are hitting all out in the sweet spot. A bit of hesitation or lack of balance at contact sends the ball in the net or short on the service line. You need to be on the attack at all times to get the most of it. It is not bad on defence if there is power on the opponents shots but if you have a nothing ball and are barely going for it is not the right racket, advanced players only.

10:23 been playing with speed tours all year and have never felt the need to add weight to 3&9 and I’ve customised most rackets I’ve owned over the years. Added lead in the handle and leather grip and the added mass from that does the job while adding more whip. Love it

Doing the lord's work with the segments, Luca

The Vcore 100D is a cool raquet, but indeed its quite clunky with a high swingweight. I can play great with it while fresh but you will feel the clunkyness when you are getting tired.

Love to see if you guys test Prince racquets, especially the tour line.

Nice review Luca, could you tell the difference between Vcore 98 and Vcore 100D?
Thanks a lot😊

Solinco's blackout v2 and whiteout v2 18x20 are my top picks!

Have you ever been tempted to switch away from the Ezone 98?

I can understand why brands want gloss paint. but personally I much prefer matt finish. Didn't Roger prefer matt as well? I love the simplicity look of the whiteout v1.

The Vcore 98 is awesome. I'd say I played some of my best tennis ever while I was demoing it. It added a ton of free speed and RPMs to every shot I hit and it didn't take very long for me to figure it out. If anything I'd say it felt more like the modern successor to my DR 98 than the 2025 Ezone 98 because I could actually feel the ball. Unfortunately it very quickly gave me tennis elbow, so I had to settle for the very good but "boring" Ezone 98. Still sad my arm hated the Vcore because it's a gem.

Talking novelty and bringing something uniquely new to the market, how the Head Squared didn't make this list is a complete miss.... I bought it when it came out, also grabbed the Yonex Muse that was just ok -- Loved playing with my Squared over the summer...

I think the one that is ranked too low on this list is the Acrostrike. It’s less sluggish than the new Aero 98 and feels more stable/bigger sweet spot than the Defyer.  It’s pretty amazing for a V1.0 racket.

Where would you rank the PA98 2023 in this list?

I wonder if Babolat will go back to the old Aero throat for the next run. Seems like the new one is not popular.

So basically the year ends in October now.

How does that make any sense?
