In this video you'll see me create a DIY custom high powered ebike using the Mongoose Blackcomb aluminum mountain bike frame as the base. I add a "3KW" (really 6KW rated but 9KW peak) motor kit from NB Power. It's a 26" bike, and most of the work went into the battery construction. It features a fully 3D printed enclosure with 3 separate modules with 90A XT-90 interconnects between the modules. I also had some custom laser cut 3.2mm aluminum panels cut from send-cut-send. The cells used in the battery are the EVE 33V cells that have a 10A continuous output. It's a 28.8Ah pack with 20S8P pack with 80A continuous power output. The resulting battery has an insane range of 80-120 miles on a single charge. The power output is so massive it propels this bike to 52 miles per hour! I show mostly how I built the battery but ultimately finish the build and take it on a test ride and speed run.
