Morphing Reality

Christopher Hitchens explores the history, pathology, and modern resurgence of antisemitism. From the "immaculate misconception" of Zionism to the "filthy prejudice" found on both the political right and left, Hitchens delivers a masterclass in historical truth and intellectual resistance.
Is anti-Zionism always antisemitic? Can a bigot ever make a true statement? Hitchens tackles these difficult questions head-on, citing figures as diverse as Theodore Herzl, Ernest Hemingway, and Albert Einstein. He argues that antisemitism is not just a threat to Jewish people, but the "common enemy of humanity" and a gateway to tyranny. This comprehensive analysis covers the Dreyfus Affair, the "seismic" nature of the Jewish Enlightenment (Haskalah), and the current dangers of global extremism.
