WELCOME...
Welcome to my video journal following my new life in Wales after 25 years living in London. A career in television and film took me to London but in my 40's I became disillusioned with the industry. It took many years of soul searching to realise that I craved a quieter life, a slower pace amongst a rural environment, ideally in the mountains and living off the land by a stream. My health over the past decade hasn’t been great so am aiming to reduce my body weight and become fitter and healthier as my 50's progress. As a child I loved the television series The Waltons and in my own way I’m recreating my own John Boy’s journal. So feel free to follow my journey as I aim to become as self-sufficient as possible and learning from the old skills along the way.

Love what your doing g to the sitting room Sean but could I suggest getting warm white bulbs for your lamps would make them a softer light which would make the room cosier . Keep going it will be lovewhen you get all you bits and pieces 😊

Happy St David’s Day. Lovely lamps. You have enough t bags to the next millennium now 👍🏻
You can see on your face your weight loss. Well done Sean keep it up. It will truly benefit your health and make gardening and walking in the mountains a whole lot easier. Lovely look around the craft stalls. The big painting you saw in the hall would be great above the fireplace 😊

Thank you for this video. I enjoy watching your everyday life. Lights look great. I enjoyed where one of the cats popped up chasing your shadow on the wall.

I think the gloves are meant to be worn so you don't touch there bulb. some of these newer ones can be weakened by contact

Loving the lamps. I never used any of my overhead lights in my living area, only lamps - so much cosier 👍

Nice. I also thought that draping a blanket or a throw over the couch or chair will add a cozy feel to the room. That pop of color on from the fresh flowers is very nice.

Great choice of lamps Sean. Really adds that touch of cozy ambiance to your living room. Good idea about finding a little side table. Happy St David’s Day. I will be making welsh cakes and adding a bouquet of daffodils on my dining room table in memory of my Welsh Grandma and Mom. As the poem on my fridge say - if you were born welsh you were not born with a silver spoon in your mouth but you were born with music in your soul.

Morning Sean, the lamps look lovely, I always use my lamps and never the ‘big light’ much cozier. I’ve used Tetley tea bags for years now but I think if I was trying something new I would’ve just bought a small pack to try - hope you like them you’ve got a lot to get through!!
