I think there are so many influencers on social media now. We seem to be bombarded with expensive things to buy for each hobby.
It would cost a fortune to have it all, so I'm pleased to see that you searched out a lovely piece of leather and made your own, it will show others there is an alternative if you don't have spare funds. I found quite a few videos on YT a few years ago, as I was in love too, but I wouldn't and couldn't spend that on a cover. So I took an old handbag I had, cut it up and made my own, I also made a few more, a black and brown from bags, and I laminated some pictures and made one from that too.   I eventually stopped wanting to buy one, and I'm so pleased that I didn't .
