They keep SBMM in the game I keep my money in my pocket.

Need to bring back unlockable reticles. They also need to add iron sights options, I’m tired of the best iron sights being locked to certain guns/barrels.

As far as footsteps, I had trouble discerning team from enemy footsteps

First real and straight foward review I see. I really respect a straight foward review that doesnt have a tiltle like "ThE wOrSt CoD EvEr" and then goes to say "Its bad cause its the same" or "its bad cause I died a lot". To me the variety of lobbies was better than in BO6 but thats maybe because of my casual type skill. Great content JGOD!

JGOD, i love you man. Your a grown ass man talking to grown ass gamers. When it comes to cod i always have to check what you have to say, and i like the fact that you state the obvious (ik crazy times) even if it hurts. I agree with you on the easy W IW can take this year remove sbmm and few tweaks here and there and were good to go. I do think we need DMZ beta though

All they need to do is loosen the sbmm and my word it would make it so much better but any matchmaking feedback falls on deaf ears it’s baffling

The last day of week 1 of the beta, the ttk felt perfect, every gun was viable. The core mechanics and gameplay for the game felt perfect at the end of week 1. The mix ttk between mw 2019 close and mwIII far felt extremely good.

I hope they revert it, and if they do I’m buying the game instantly.

They need to make ads and strafe speeds faster, I like the long ttk but the 1 shot weapons are too OP at the moment

Thing is the weapons felt even better the first weekend, now they’ve are clearly defined meta guns.

20:12 finally someone talks about this. I'm always stuck w the worst players ever. I wouldn't even have more than 2-3 engagements at the start of a match and all of a sudden the enemy team is cookin up streaks smfh

damage zones make should feel more consistent. would be dope to see where my shots landed in a target graph during killcam as well, just to make sure that i'm not getting gaslit.

I think this is a good direction for cod moving forward , I really hope sledgehammer gets the grab for the next game because they never disappoint even vanguard would have been a great game if in a modern time rather then the route they took. Great conversation JGOD!!!

I'm glad you talked about visibility. I feel like not enough people are not talking about it. Alot of time you die and do not even know where you are getting shot from. With all the shake and the blood on your screen or the blood splatter out of the enemy everyrime their hit. Then you add in nade smoke or explosion smoke and all you are aiming at is a red diamond or red names instead of operators because all you can see is that players tag over their head.

I think the footsteps are fine I don’t want them to Nerf it because there’s already instances where it’s too quiet and there’s no audio if they Nerf it it will only make the game worse.

Spawns, shotguns being so op at range, ttk when I'm landing multiple shots but they flinch to my head, always feeling like I'm fighting seal team 6 when I'm playing solo and attachments making your gun worse are my biggest problems in mp. Didn't even bother playing warzone after hearing 1st reviews.

This is the first COD I have ever cancelled my preorder. The SBMM just makes every game feel miserable. If skill base matchmaking was about fair, competitive play I wouldn’t really have any problem with it. The problem is it’s either people that are dramatically better than you or dramatically worse. So you don’t get any satisfaction from your wins and you don’t really learn anything from your losses. There have been a lot of studies on what creates the most conducive environment for learning and it is typically competing against people slightly better than you and slightly worse. I almost feel like this algorithm isn’t just meant for engagement, but also to hinder learning to keep the player base average from getting too high and making it more difficult for casuals or people hopping on the game for the first time. Just sucks if you wanna get better at something and what you’re trying to get better at is actively doing everything it  can to prevent that.

Brother J, thank you for keeping these up, easily say that I love COD as much as you do. And that said, I was pleasantly surprised with the changes over the weekend and kept me and my boys playing longer. The movement is definitely better. Still has a bit of a clunky feel and when I switch back over to BO7 warzone it feels better minus the wall jumping stuff. What's gone on for me is being so accustomed to the previous movement I get killed thinking I can jump up on things that I could for years where I can't now. Just have to adjust for that. Secondly the audio does weird shit for foot steps. I can hear a guy like elephant foot steps in the building next to me or under me but an enemy can run up on me and I hear nothing!! Completely busted on that part of footsteps. Reverse that and we are good I think? SBMM I agree is painful and stupid. Weapon swap with fast hands is still slow, running with knife out looks ridiculous and doesn't have the same running but faster like in BO7. This feedback is for warzone. Multiplayer isn't much my thing but it's at least fun and improved. Dying to try DMZ and hope it's a winner and they stick with penalizing players that kill others as a most wanted level increases idea. Let's hope. Cheers man!

You’re spot-on with your take on the game. I’d also rate it around a 7, but honestly, if they eliminated SBMM, I’d probably give it a 9.

I have a large community of Hispanic players in a WhatsApp group, and I encouraged a lot of them to at least give the game a try. What I found interesting was how many of them became frustrated almost immediately, not necessarily because the game itself was bad, but because the way the game was structured made it difficult for new or late arriving players to jump in and be somewhat competitive.

By the time the second weekend rollout came around, a lot of players had already figured out the meta weapons, optimal loadouts, and strategies. Someone coming into the game at that point was immediately at a disadvantage. I think that could have been addressed by limiting the number of weapons available initially rather than throwing such a massive arsenal at players right out of the gate. At the same time, it would had been smarter for the devs to make the META available in the ground loot weapons.

I actually asked a lot of the people in my group about their experience, and the feedback was pretty consistent. Most of them loved the large map. That was one of the biggest positives they mentioned. However, they really disliked the constant streak spam and the amount of heavier artillery raining down on the map. For many of them, it took away from the gunfights and made the experience feel unnecessarily chaotic.

Beyond that, pretty much everything else you said is 100% consistent with the feedback I’ve been getting from my community. There’s clearly a very good game underneath all of this, and I think with some adjustments to matchmaking, weapon availability, and the amount of streaks/artillery, this game could be significantly better.

For me, the biggest issue remains SBMM. Take that out of the equation, and I think this game has the potential to be a 9/10.
