Thanks for this, I'm an intermediate player, I've been using the Qa5 approach, when the f pawn gets played early I tend to go Qc7 and just use c6 to start a queenside attack as Be3 usually leads to 0-0-0 but I like this line

Watched all of your Czech videos . Great stuff !
I started playing the Czech in the early 90-ies after reading an article in New In Chess.
Before that , I played the regular Pirc but I always feared the Austrian (4.f4) attack and it was exactly for that reason I switched to the Czech which offers Qa5 as a strong answer.
I mostly encounter 4.Nf3 Bg4 but in rapids , the latest way for White to avoid Bg4 is 4.h3 after which I felt to go for a normal Pirc with 4. .. g6 .
When faced with the Czech as White ,  I tried to avoid 4. .. Bg4 by playing 4.Be2.

Good video! One of the best I have seen. Not a very intelligent question but when/how do you decide between be7 or bg7 with the fiancetto? Is it determined by blacks pawn structure or whites structure and plans?

After black plays d5 against white's bishop on c4 (around 6:00), isn't Bd3 also another option for white even though it doesn't protect the b2 square? Because later in the video you didn't recommend this setup for black if white went straight into Bd3, so how would you use the extra move?
