This is when the NBA was at its best. Lakers, Celtics, CBS. Stockton, Heinshon, and the master of the intro Brent Musberger.

I was a 13 yr old die hard Lakers fan just beginning summer. Beautiful memories

When the opposing team celebrated in the locker room and not on another team’s home floor

That theme music is classic 😊

Love the old school

The LA Lakers had finally beaten the Boston Celtics for the first time after 8 tries, especially in GM 6,the LA Lakers had become the first visiting team to win the NBA title on their home floor in Boston Garden

Notice how at 2:35:48, Brent Musburger cut Kareem off from saying "Hello' to his Mom. And they wonder why he didn't always speak to the media.

That's the last season of the nba world championship brand, before changing to the NBA finals logo in 1985-86

The best basketball ever

I forgot how good of a rebounder that Rambis was.

I remember this series so well. After the Lakers lost game 1 in the Memorial Day Massacre, I thought, “Here we go again. This team just can’t beat the Celtics in the Finals.” However, they went on to win 4 of the next 5 and clinched their first Postseason title against the Celtics after 8 failed attempts. So awesome 😎.

Way better than today’s NBA

Chick Hearn was classic

6:44 RIP K.C. Jones.

Old Brent was like thanks guys for covering the spread 😂

The Lakers beat the celtics I love it this is when the NBA was at its best

Aside from Game 6 of the 1985 NBA Championship Series of this Video... You have Golf coverage in this special video..

The greatest day of my life Sunday, June 9, 1985 before having a family. We beat the Celtics.

The biggest shot Kareem’s hook shot from the corner. It’s sealed the title.

Fun Facts that was the first year of the 2-3-2 format Kareem at age 38  was named Finals MVP 14 years after winning his first Sports illustrated named Kareem its Sportsman of the Year

I was 9 yrs old Lakers fan living in Simi Valley Ca and I loved basketball back then.  I have lost interest in basketball.
