Am I weird that the pain is therapy to me. I rather sit threw it lol

I thought the whole point of tattoos was to make it through the pain and your tattoo is a trophy. For many it’s therapeutic.

The skin trauma alone with this size is unreal

This documentary is so well made. It clearly states the risks and possible downsides but also so informative about how the industry is hardly ever welcome to change.
“Earning the tattoo” is like saying women who get epidurals during birth aren’t actually moms.

Who gives a shit? If you want something on your body, and pay for it.. that’s enough. Tattoos aren’t a toughness badge anymore.

Such a talented group of people ❤ and Chase you crack me up 😂

The itch this must have came with. Damnnn 😂

I love how they made such a heavy subject fun and digestible for even people who arent in this industry. Badass AND informative.

Pain is there for a reason though, it’s to let us know what is too much -a full body tattoo is a huge open wound. That’s a big shock for the body

Wow!... 2 years and she is tattooing at that level!.. There are no words!... Sky is the limit for her... What an amazing talent.....

Damn, Ava to be so young and so freaking talented...she has an incredible future ahead of her!

Can you imagine going into some tattoo studios and asking if they do anaesthetic? 😂

Anesthesia in any situation can be a risk for many reasons.  I love that the risk was discussed, as well as having plans in place place should anything happen. This was an amazing team and the client was in good hands the entire time!

Man, this shit is fucking AMAZING!!!! I literally thought this years ago and my artist (long time friend) laughed at me, adding "Pain is part of the experience" LOL but you guys are amazing artists, amazing Med staff, etc..... LOVE IT!!!!!

I hate when people say its cheating. Id love a tat or multiple. But i live in chronic pain daily and don't want to add to that. The fact this is an option and for people like me is outstanding. 🙏 thanks  you guys. ❤

Ava girl you are going to make some serious serious waves in the Tattoo world enjoy the ride, remain humble and rock it out to the fullest..... Can't wait to see where you're at in even 10 years girl....... RESPECT  ✌💜🙃

Thank you for showing both sides. Because people don't show enough of it, especially when you were out of it but I wouldn't do it . I enjoy the pain and the sessions having a natter with my tattooist ...its definitely better than therapy 😆

I can't even imagine the cost of this!  😮  I've seen hospital bills for anesthesia and it's always huge.  Plus you have to pay for all the people working and taking care of you for 8-10 hours.  I'm jealous of anyone that can afford a huge back piece like this especially while being put under!

First of all thank you for a very well done and informative docu/advertisment.

For me this is quite foreign, I do not care what others do but for me the ritual of the tattoo is maybe 50-70% of the experience. If you only want the art and have the money go for it but in my case the synergy of the moments me and the artist are together is sacrosanct  for me, the tingle before you start the session of how long you can do it "comfortably" and how much the artist is feeling it today. Some sessions are better than others but like Bob Ross said you need darkness to appreciate that light.

It's the healing that I do not like, I'm 45 years old a s you can bet that I feel the heal and it goes much slower than it did 20 years ago.

Without the pain, you do not deserve the tattoo!

Gonna be intresting to hear what people think after someone get really hurt or actually die from this… no tattoos are this important (or painfull) that you need to do all this.

Absolutely phenomenal! Knowledgeable, interesting to watch, and beautiful footage! What a cool experience! 🤟
