“If I had a friend who died because they couldn’t handle a back piece… no thanks! not showing up to that f***ing funeral” 💀

Kirk @ turtles: 😡
Kirk @ panthers: 😍

the permanent eyebrows looked incredible tbh. it suited his face so well, really underlined the character expression in the best possible way. i did not expect this to come out 20% as good

Updating the Brazilian guy story. He had problems as soon as they puy him under. The tattoo hadn't even started. As far as I know, they had the medical professionals there, and a cardiologist tried to save him. The bottom line is that no matter if you are doing this procedure inside the best hospital with the most rated MDs to assist, you still may die a stupid death.

Wait. You saw a lady idly killing baby animals? Aren’t sea turtles protected? Wtf is wrong with people?

My mom got her eyebrows tattooed by a pmu artist. Apparently she's had them done for 2 years and I never knew it until she mentioned it the other day 😂. They're really subtle. She got them to look a little darker and defined because her eyebrows were really light and thin, so she wanted them to look "better". they look really good

Not the turtles!!!

I'm an electrician. I make what i make today and people pay for the 25 years of experience and time i put it. Same with you guys.

"I'm not going to that funeral..."

Fuckin' classic.  That's why I come back here every week.

If you cant handle a tattoo.. dont get one..

Kirk is really going off in this video😂

One of the few silver linings of chronic pain is it being a cheat code for painless tattoos in a roundabout way. My chronic lower back is managed by pain medication, but of course it affects my whole body and not just my back. So, whether I'm getting a tooth pulled, or a tattoo on my rib cage, there's an advantage. Totally not worth it though. I'd rather have painful tattoos instead of dealing with constant back pain for the rest of my life.

“Nothing special here” is the realist comment. I’m in Dublin and half the artists are sound down to earth just going to work, the other half are faffy stipplers who won’t talk prices and think they’re gods gift to art.

Inkmaster ruined my perception on tattoos. Now when I'm looking for an artist to do a tattoo, I am being over critical of their portfolio.  Judging every line, proportions and even shading.  The artists that I've looked at are decent tattooers, I'm just super picky now.  As far as new tools, I say if it makes the job easier but doesn't lower the quality I'm all for it.  Anesthesia should not be a part of tattooing though, even with proper medical training people can still die going under.

In defense of ink master, it’s a great introduction into the style and terminology and also etiquette of getting a tattoo in some regards. It helps to hear dramatized characters talking about poor placement, bad ideas, what makes a difficult client etc. plus terms like composition, saturation, etc. have helped me actually know what I’m looking for and what I need to pay attention to when looking for tattoo artists.

That being said I understand it made money for the producers and not necessarily tattoos directly, but it does have the downstream effect of breaking tattoo terminology into the mainstream and that results in more people getting tattoos as a windfall. I wouldn’t be into tattoos without that show and now I’m giving money to tattoo artists that never would’ve gotten it otherwise; I’m sure I’m not alone.

Also I usually fast forward the drama crap and I’m really there for the challenges and dialogue about the actual designs and applications.

Damn Kirk, you were a dawg in this video, bro. Who pissed in your ink today? Hahahahahaha

One of the reasons why even routine surgery is dangerous is because of the anesthesia. About 1 in a 100,000 die from being put under. So if we put everyone in the world under anesthesia, about 80,000 people would die every time. You would also have a greater chance of dying more than once over winning the Lottery. Risk for the reward type of thing...Maybe just take the "pain"?

The first one looked like an infection

# 3 happened to me. I went in for some Keith Harring tats back in 2019, and the shop owner said he would start after smoking a cig. He went outside throught a thin glass shop window and proceeded to talk a gang of trash about me because I chose "basic shit, there's nothing to it. I ain't tryna be a dick or nothing but Like why not get something GOOD? I do really good shit" His "good shit" is all Japanese demons. He is not Japanese, I am not Japanese, and Japanese demons are extremely played out and basic in my opinion. But yeah, respect the art, otherwise the 'artiste' may have a pissy fit and ruin your experience.

Everyone was saying it's only a matter of time, I'm a little surprised it happened so soon but also not. At least since it's a very public stain on the reputation of this style of tattooing that means it's probably the end of it, it'll either be banned or no one else will sign up to do it.
