I am an old lady who listened to these albums when they were originally released. It amazes me that the words to every song immediately pops into my head as soon as I hear the first notes, or sometimes as soon as you say the title of the song. That’s because I listened to the album start to finish when we got home from the music store, then went back and played each song I liked best over and over again until I knew all the lyrics. Once the “good” ones were locked in, I learned the rest of the lyrics. Sometimes I would be on the phone with my best friend who had also just bought the album and we would start a song at the same time (3-2-1-go) so we were listening and singing along over the phone. Yeah, silly teenagers, but we were SO fortunate to have experienced the Beatles as they grew from “those British mop heads” to what was arguably the most influential musical group of the 20th century.

How I love to see young people listening to the music that shaped my life. It brings me to tears.

Every generation finds the Beatles. After 60 years still a huge fan.

The Beatles feel like home, Jay. That’s what you mean to say.

This album was on every turntable of people in my dorm in college.....You could walk down the corridor and hear it playing in all the rooms.   The Beatle were SUCH a cultural phenom as well as a musical one.

“If I Needed Someone” notice what an awesome songwriter George is growing into

Next will be Revolver. That was the biggest evolution of the band. You will be shocked

In My Life was the song where George Martin realized John had matured and was becoming a legendary song writer.

A lot of Paul's best songs especially feel like they have always existed

You should check out the two songs recorded during these sessions , Day Tripper and We Can Work it Out. It was released as a single

Can you imagine "You Won't See Me" without McCartney's bass? THAT'S  what makes it smooth.

Paul McCartney once said that the final line of Norwegian Wood: “So I lit a fire, isn’t it good, Norwegian wood,” is about the guy in the song burning down the gal’s home.
The line “I’d rather see you dead little girl, than to be with another man,” from Run For Your Life, were lifted from the Elvis Presley song “Baby, Let’s Play House.”
“Michelle” won a Grammy for Song of the Year in 1967. In 2010, Paul dedicated this song to the First Lady during a celebration at The White House, when he received the Gershwin Prize from President Obama.

When they started to be big, I was 13. Paul was 20. George was a teenager. John and Ringo were in their twenties. They were SO YOUNG! And so bright, talented and witty,
those four Liverpool lads.
❤❤❤ ❤

Don’t forget about the singles in between brother!!! Enjoy the ride!

Yeah, the Beatles. Timeless.

MINDBLOWER FACT.  ON RADIO, the held  1 thru 6 on the charts.

I absolutely love George’s guitar fills on What Goes On. Those little phrases he throws in just makes that song for me. George was one cool cat.

If you like wistfully nostalgic songs,  Paul McCartney has just released a new single. 'Days We Left Behind'

I like it when you sing when you need to  and I think you got good rhythm, brother
