Awesome reaction video, you guys. She Said She Said sounded grunge.

geezer here -  11 th grade , coming home from the store with  Revolver in hand.  The  BEST album of 'our music .  Ever.  as in,  the  Best.  Ever.  things  were  changing.  and  they  were  driving.

The best part of your reactions is the fact that you're such good friends that you can slag each other off so often. It's great!

Within ONE calendar year, they went from closing an album with 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' to 'Tomorrow Never Knows'.

"And Your Bird Can Sing" is (one of?) the first rock song(s) to contain an extended harmony-lead guitar melody played by Harrison and McCartney. It influenced a lot of later rock (e.g. Pink Floyd).

Jamming Jarvis and Discerning Dary, you two are THE BEST reactors to the Beatles I have ever seen.  Jarvis with his irrepressible need to dance in his chair to Dary letting the music flow into him, you are a perfect team.  I really appreciate the extra effort and thought you put into making the special effects to reflect each song.  Absolutely love the both of you…almost as much as the Beatles. 😊😊

Tomorrow never knows sounds crazy today, imagine back in 1966

Keep in mind: This was 1966… 19-Freaking-66. Just imagine what it sounded like 60 years ago.

Revolver was possibly the most experimental musical album in history. If any album was more experimental, it was another by The Beatles—Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, or Abbey Road.

The variety! Consider the astounding variety of songs, styles, and themes on this LP. No one had EVER done anything like this on a successful pop album. It broke so much ground, and even today, 60 years later, I don't think anyone else has matched the incredible breadth of music on this one record.

When they made the Revolver album, the Beatles were:

Ringo Starr: 26 years old
John Lennon: 25 years old
Paul McCartney: 24 years old
George Harrison: 23 years old

Without Ringo’s drumming—some of the best drumming of all-time—The Beatles wouldn’t have been The Beatles. Ringo was the glue.

is the best album of the beatles (all albums is the bests)

Just a recommendation for Beatles vids, think about using the new mixes, they're a lot better than the 2009 remastered versions, which is the version it sounds like you guys listened to for this video. Sgt Peppers has a 2017 mix, The white album has a 2018 mix, and Let It Be has a 2021 mix. Avoid the 2009 remasters whenever possible.

Great one to react to! "She Said She Said" always seems to get better with each listen and could be a top-10 Beatles track for me. Also, "I Want to Tell You" is probably my fav George song, incredibly underrated one IMO.

And your bird can sing is the most underrated Beatles song imo

There's no sitar on I'm Only Sleeping. There is however, the FIRST ever backwards guitar (electric) on a pop song. Literally pushing the boundaries for the entire music industry on this album

The lead guitar solo in “Taxman,” and reprised at the end, was played by Paul McCartney. If you’re familiar with the theme song to the 60s American tv show “Batman” starring Adam West, the single word harmonized backing refrain, “Taxman!” will sound very familiar!
I believe it was a double string quartet on “Eleanor Rigby,” with the violin parts in certain sections being inspired by the stabby-sounding violins during the iconic shower scene in the Alfred Hitchcock movie “Psycho.” The line wearing a face that she keeps in a jar by the door,” means either the public face she wears when facing the outside world, or just the make-up that she puts on.
Notice that in “Here, There and Everywhere,” Paul is “watching her eyes, hoping I’m always there,” whereas in “For No One,” it’s “and in her eyes, you see nothing, no sign of love behind the tears.”
Interesting that in “I’m Only Sleeping,” John is “floating upstream,” but in “Tomorrow Never Knows,” he’s inviting listeners to “turn off your mind, relax and float downstream.”
Yellow Submarine has been a staple in children's music for decades, both on the educational and commercial sides! The best-selling children's entertainer, Raffi, covered the song. If you want to hear John Lennon's somber initial song snippet, look up Yellow Submarine - Songwriting Work Tape / Part 1, on Spottify. Part 2 is a behind the scenes look at Paul and John in the studio.
The dual harmonizing guitar lines throughout “And Your Bird Can Sing,” were played by George and Paul.
Earth, Wind and Fire had a hit with their cover of “Got To Get You Into My Life,” in 1978.

You guys are a lot of fun to watch ❤. Thank you for making me smile 😊

The Beatles did Yellow Submarine for a simple reason…
Because they could do anything.
