There's a Horus Heresy short story about a group of Thousand Sons marines who were away from Prospero when it was "burnt" by the Space Wolves so did not go with the rest when Magnus whisked the Thousand Sons away with magic. They were members of the Corvidae sect and their symbol was a Raven and a drop of blood. Considering The Lion has been going around bringing Fallen Dark Angels back into the fold if he deems them loyal and uncorrupted it would be thematically sound for him to bump into loyalist marines from a traitor Primarch.

The case for the Blood Ravens being a remnant of the 1k Sons is the strongest IMO. Especially with the strong lore basis that Magnus was loyal until Horus tricked Russ and Constantine Valdor into a purge that left no choice but for Magnus to turn to save his sons.
But GW is well known for lore shattering retcons...

"Cawl, why is there a chapter with Necron DNA in their gene seed?"
"No, I don't care that he asked to try first! You don't let the xenos make Astartes!"
"What do you mean he has 'A Fulgrim'!?"

I can't wait for DoW 4 after this video. Let's hope that they manage Blood Ravens' origins twist well.

@CourtneyRoberts1982 4 months ago

We already know the answers to this because of how he’s responded to the members of the fallen. He would judge them by their actions and not by the history that they have nothing to do with.

@Krobetus 4 months ago

Let's hope we finally get the answers about the blood ravens origins.

Blood Ravens are hard af. They got infected by corruption, purged themselves and went on to prove themselves loyal time and time again. They may love pinching other people's shit, but that's hardly the worst trait out there. :P

While we are treading on crazy talk territory here...Imagine theLion sees the bloodline of Magnus in them but take them in as his own.

Good news for Ultramar! The followers of both Nurgle and Tzeench are receeding!

Bad news for Ultramar! They're being replaced with Necrons!

In Imperium Nihilus, it’d be so cool to see if the sister of battle psyker Stern somehow meet the Lion.

Just as Guilliman had support from sister of battle Celestine
The Lion will have support from sister of battle Stern

@kingbaldwiniv5409 4 months ago

I have NEVER even heard the theory that the Blood Ravens are Dark Angels. That's crazy talk.

They're Thousand Sons.

@TheBlueCollarConservative 4 months ago

You know what, if you think about it, the Dark Angels were tasked from the beginning BY THE EMPEROR to gather and store ancient technologies from the Dark Age of Technology and were the only chapter to be given that right.

Isnt that what the Blood Ravens are doing now on a smaller scale?

Knowledge is power.
Guard it well.

I remember time when blood ravens were more of a meme legion that was made up to not pollute main lore, and people often called them blood crows.
Look how tables have turned. Now they are canon, and have some whacky secretive lore.
They are basically a live example of positive retcon.

It's good to be part of the unknown. If we are unknown, we can't be seen by the wider imperium we fight to keep secrets from the imperium. That would break it our burden alone. It is our war

@Lyonatan 4 months ago

Im still rooting for that the Blood Ravens are the sons of one of the Lost Primarchs thats why an Inquisitor is constantly on their neck.

I have no idea how you do it
Might be the only non ai channel I’ve seen pump out videos regularly that or not bad

Love the voice overs btw mever change them <333

Maybe the legion that was on cronos that was erased was for the removed primearcs

@MichaelOlmeda-ch2uf 4 months ago

GW loves the number 10k. The issue here relating to that number and the remnant of T suns being incorporated into the blood ravens is... Its been 10k years since . That gene seed is so watered down or if not lost to the flesh change because that was never fixed that it low key doesn't really have any implications for the current setting. .
