I'm an elderly Canadian woman who stumbled upon Warhammer 40K videos late one night. Thank you for answering lots of questions I had.

I have fallen into a black hole of 40k lore after playing Space Marine 2. I have spent so many hours watching lore videos since the launch.

What is a dreadnought? A dreadnought is a Space Marine wheelchair... with guns and big stompy feet

I'm a 50 year old just now getting into 40K. Thank you for explaining everything about this universe so brilliantly. You have made a diehard fan of this entire culture..

I clicked this cuz I thought "Ah sweet, I didn't know what happened in Space Marine 1, this'll be a cool refresher." and then it opens with "What is a Space Marine" and I realised "Oh this is for like NEW new people."

[EDIT: Some of you need to chill. This wasn't meant in a disparaging way, in fact the comment literally starts with me pointing out I didn't play Space Marine 1 and was hoping this was a refresher. I'm glad content like this exists, it's how I first got into 40k, and I'm not a lore expert know-it-all laughing at noobs or whatever. The easier the hobby is to get into the better, I was just surprised that this particular video wasn't a recap of Space Marine 1. No idea why some of you are taking it so personally.)

I love it when this community grows. It's always a blast watching ppl discover the pure absurdity of this universe

@zacneal9911 2 years ago

It genuinely blows my mind the things that we create as people I mean I grew up nerding over comic books, lord of the rings star truck etc the vast worlds of fiction we are able to create I played space marine 2 having no idea there was history of the game and the more I look the more I want to replay the game so I have an appreciation of everything i come in contact with thruout the campaign. Thank you for putting in the ungodly amount of time this probably took to make it’s appreciated

Calgar and his massive balls facing down a lord of change, the dreadnaught killing a helldrake and a Hellbrute...The codex astartes does not support this but I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCH THIS VIDEO

31:20 i love when "the dreaded sin of innovation" comes up and then Belasarius Cawl shows up, like a perfect example of such kind of heresy xd

I'd always assumed regicide was like chess in the 40k universe.

@Abasilisk 2 years ago

51:27 forgot to mention that Big E ordered Magnus' arrest only, instead of what Horus manipulated Leman Russ to do in Prospero.

@vulpox269 2 years ago

Finally got into Warhammer just a few weeks ago and your channel is an actual godsend.

@Awesomesauce213 2 years ago (edited)

I know a little about 40k but I didn't know who the Thousand Sons were so I literally started watching your video on them as I was playing SM2 and right after you got done talking about Prospero and the genocide of knowledge that happened there, Calgar had his speech where he also mentions the burning of Prospero and I did the DiCaprio meme and pointed at the screen lol

@Romanlegion0727 2 years ago

Ive wanted to get into Warhammer 40k for a while now, just didnt know where to start. My first experience was space marine 2 and im so grateful for how accepting the community is for new people just learning the lore for the first time

@tiagocastellano1109 1 year ago

You have single handedly encouraged people to create their own fan works in the greater Warhammer 40K fandom by breaking this down so effectively. Mad support, Wes. I look forward to the next video.
