Greetings, Nerd! In this video we will explore the War of the Beast, the ork invasion that put an attack moon above Terra and nearly ended the Imperium, and the three theories that attempt to answer what the Beast actually was, from a single godlike ork to a council of prime warlords to something far older and far worse known as the Krorks.

Could be a bunch of Krorks who got stuck in the warp for 65m years and emerged back in real space. That would explain how they got so much tech without drawing attention.

Man, you know you're too far gone when the sentence "Did a krork make a waagh that threatened the imperium" sounds as normal as "I had cereal for breakfast" lol

It would be interesting to see Orks revert back to Krorks thanks to Necrons returning, more chaos gods awakening, primarchs returning, the war in Armageddon, humanity producing a lot more psychers, the tyrannids coming into this galaxy, and the Emperor awakening as the Dark King and the Star Child (and then fused as one deity having multiple presence in both the Warp and the Materium).

Does anybody else think that Trazen intentionally released the Krork at some point just to see what would happen?

"The Inquisition has files." RELEASE THE KRORK FILES!! :face-blue-smiling:

i really like that "greetings nerd" intro

Orks are like regular Hulk, Krorks are like Professor Hulk, or maybe even Maestro.

I feel like the council of krorks are coming back with Ghaz as the goff and Ufthak Blackhawk as the bad moon…the primeorks.

There's been some new lore on the return of a dormant Krork and it's awakening causing absolute mayhem across the galaxy. Was a magnificent piece of homemade lore. Powerful, majestic, unstoppable. Wiping out a hive world, a necron Tomb world and a death watch kill team with such ease it was shocking. Was truly an incredible. The power, the majesty, the horror, the destruction, the unstoppable psycho material warp warggg energy field.

when it hits something that something stops existing in its original form is an insane line.

22:00 Ah! Game of Thrones, Season-8 fast-travel expediency!

I think it wasn't a Krork but something reaching it, very close

It was an Ork Empire that had spent millennia fighting against the Dark Age Humans and Eldar Empire at its height, and then rallied after Ullanor got fragged, biding its time during the Horus Heresy to having Krork-like abilities and powers and then attacking when mankind was at its weakest

Primeorks!!

I would assume the beast is similar to real life species that we have "brought back from extinction" where old DNA is reactivated or new DNA mutated for similar traits to ancestor species until it fills the same ecological niche with the same physical appearance and behavior, not technically a krork since life can't actually devolve into a previous form but closer to krork than ork as more dormant DNA activates

The Krorks would have been something amazing to see during the War in Heaven. The Old Ones truly were incredible biological engineers.

@GuGGinG-GinGa 4 months ago

i think this theory is more than likely to be correct. i would go as far as to say the lore sources outright imply it was korks or at least something closer to kroks than orks.

Next time gazzkul comes back I hope he either is a krork or really close to being one. I feel that's where his storyline in leading.

@lancepharker 4 months ago

My theory is a tomb world woke up early, which prompted dormant traits to reawaken. The Kork then stomped the vulnerable tomb before it fully woke up, then started looking for something else to fight, and the imperium was the biggest game in town.
