i wonder what sort of dashing handsome man won worlds in the big 6 era

I cant believe this whole video was just aura farming for the true final boss of 2016 and I love it.

"this is the strongest team eeever and yeah I beat it in next episode" how can this man always get away with it????

In China we called big6 team "The Granny", which means my grandma could easily win a reward by using that team even she never played that game before:face-orange-biting-nails:

Nearly an hour of hyping up this team as the best performing team in pokemon history just to make the story of his 2016 worlds win even more impressive. That's professional aura farming folks. What a legend

Wolfe: This 2016 team was unbeatable
Meanwhile Wolfe: The 2016 World Champion

I was going to make a joke about this being “Before the dark times… before Incineroar.”

But looking back, this was honestly worse.

honestly the worst of Smeargle's crimes was causing Darkrai to get nerfed. After gen 6, they took away the ability to sketch Dark Void (which solved the problem on it's own) and then cut Dark Void's accuracy to 50%. Which is worse than Hypnosis. Meaning most people who use Darkai, don't even run his signature move, because 90% of the time it's just worse than hypnosis. At least Legends Arceus buffed it up to 90% accuracy

The reason you’re only allowed to bring one of each species of Pokémon is so you can’t bring 6 Noctowl.

44:09 Hey there, brother of one of the players of that one tournament (you can guess who from my literal name and surname being my yt nick lmao) and I have a fun fact: was joking with him about how every time someone talks about B6 there's always this one screen popping up and he goes "it's my fault actually: see, I gave the team to almost the entirety of the other Italian players in top" so yeah, there's that too

I like that smeargle appears to also be in a master ball in the first graphic there, not the other legendary lol

The fact that Primal Groudon's, the Pokemon that creates land, usually only weakness is ground is hilarious lmao

NOBODY could beat this team at 2016 World’s? You sure about that Wolfe? No GOATs come to mind?

54:50 about time

Wolfe Glick be like, “Big 6 was the most unbeatable team in the history of VGC… BUT IT WASN’T ENOUGH!!!!”

Big 6 was roaring about thrashing it's opponents at the 2016 world championship until a beacon of hope emerged. A force soon to be known as "The World Champ Difference" revealed itself. Along with it came the great hero of our story Wolfe Glicke.

I appreciate that Smeargle had Giratina's theme playing in the background, really sells the "this THING is genuinely evil" vibe.

The official Pokémon website calls your 2016 strategy “one of the most groundbreaking in Video Game Championships history”
This next video is gonna be hype

I think 43:46 is what really cemented the idea that Big 6 was a terrible event in competitive Pokémon history. If you really wanted to kill the monster and survive the other hunters, you had to BE the monster
