007 First Light's Platinum Was Supposed to be Easy

007 First Light's platinum trophy looked easy on paper. 2/10 difficulty, no crazy grind but the collectible trophies had other plans. In this video I go for the full platinum on PS5, and about halfway through the collectible trophies start popping late instead of not popping at all, which had me convinced I'd broken my save. Spoiler: I didn't. This is the full story of the "easy" 007 First Light platinum that wasn't quite as easy as it looked.
If you're going for the platinum yourself, this should give you a real sense of where the actual friction is (hint: it's not the difficulty).
⏱️ Trophy run: 38/38 trophies, ~21 hours across 4 sessions
🎮 Platform: PS5
🏆 Platinum earned: September 2026
Getting the 007 First Light platinum looked like a quick 2/10 difficulty run. It became a nightmare instead.
I set out to earn the platinum trophy by beating the story and finding all 92 collectibles, but the game had other plans. Halfway through, the achievements started popping with massive delays, making me think my save was ruined. This is the full story of my experience with one of the most unpredictable PS5 games I have played recently.
If you are doing your own trophy hunting, this breakdown covers where the real friction lies. While this is not a traditional collectible guide, it should give you a better sense of what to expect when chasing that completion.
