Teoria de campo zero não tem nada haver com fnaf.

This seems like a game journalist reviewing a game that he never played and is writing based on reaction and gameplay videos.
I mean, there are so many things portrayed as issues that are widely explained throughout the game, if you have the patience to read and listen to the messages in the computer terminals.

I always walked slowly and quietly 90% of time in the game...
Always tried to stay quite and obscure...
You run and make noise... The game is over...

It is fun, but man, it never stops being scary.  I have beaten it 9 or 10 times since 2014, and while I have learned the game pretty well, the fact it makes you go back and forth between areas keeps it fresh.  The scariest parts are easily the nest and the lab that is jettisoned.  Looking forward to Alien Isolation 2...cautiously.

I know this video is old, but it's clear that whomever wrote it, doesn't know squat on the story of the game. The script was made into an actual novel/ novelization that one can actually listen to as an audiobook here. It gives literally the entire backstory of Amanda as a baby, Ellen's life with her and her relationships, to the trip of the Nostromo.

It also gives Amanda's life growing up without Ellen, her education, economic problems and her search for her mom, as well as the introduction of Private Zula Hendricks, and how they became friends. Zula who has her own comics and novel stories and recently being the protagonist of the video game ALIEN ROGUE INCURSION were she and her android companion Davis mention Amanda many times and even send her a message.

The ALIEN ISOLATION novelization eventually covers the game story more in depth as well as the characters within it. So technically, the novel is a companion piece of the game and helps then fully seeing what this apparent IGN loving guy who like them, don't get of the story.

This literally lost me when the guy stupidly says that the graffiti seen throughout the station was unnecessary...like What!!? How the fk then was background info was to drip to the story and it's obvious too that this guy never heard any of the Audio logs NEEDED and spread around the station that give important details of the game story.

In conclusion, a dumb video and an imbecilic analysis on a game that was bigger than what this guy tried to speak of.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is AI narration, and it sounds like AI had a little bit of a hand in the writing process as well.

More than a comprehensive analysis, you should have called this video a personal critique

Good touch playing Air On A G String.

"Alien: Isolation - A comprehensive and completely subjective rant" ...   Many of the things you criticize here are totally subjective. For instance. You don't like the fact that it took an hour of exposition before getting to the core gameplay. I actually enjoyed the long intro though. It didn't feel excessive in any way to me. In fact, that was the most interesting part of the game because usually even in movies, the most interesting part is the part leading up to the discovery of the monster. It's a suspense mechanism and it works. If you want to go straight to the action, this type of game might not be for you. You might be more at home playing Battlefield 6 or another multiplayer game without story. This, like calling that intermediate sequence worthless just because you have a reprieve from the enemies, and several other criticism you offer are completely your personal opinion. You are basically saying "I didn't like this" but this doesn't mean it's bad because you don't like it. I liked it.

I think you went waayyy too far in criticism and forgot how long it take to develop and release something like this and the processes in between…. Your just critic what do you know about actually making a video game and could you do any better!? I doubt it

8:43 the graffiti was done before the alien and crew came on board if you paid attention to the story the ship and its morale was faltering before the alien even came on board

Ive watched this review a dozen times hoping this channel would make more. We need more reviewers like this. Hope he comes back one day

An excellent deep dive. Thank you. While I love a lot of what Isolation was attempting (and can't deny that it achieved a great deal), the overall experience could not survive a trifecta of failings. The limitations of the gameplay, the ineptitude of the story and character development and the excessive runtime make for a game that can be interesting to watch in brief segments but is tedious and frustrating to actually play. I ultimately walked away appreciating its achievements but not enjoying my time. That is the death knell of a good game experience.

Are you related to Ryan Mc cafferty ?
This game rocks, just think it was too much for some people to handle, like poor Ryan and his lil bro here.

Excellent piece, thank you for your thoughts.

Thanks a lot for this brilliant analysis of the game. I enjoyed it a LOT. Such a deep walk through so many different aspects of the game, be it the lighting, the sounds, the characters, the environment, the storytelling. In a very precise, very analytical language and with a great selection of visual representations. There are things that are quite obvious, but I never thought about it - just like for example how little the search for answers, the whole "main quest" of Amanda Ripley is actually part of the game. And even if there are statements you might not agree with (which is pretty normal), the statements in the video are well founded in arguments.

Damn this game left a mark on me. The clips of you being chased and/or hearing the stomping made me anxious and I’m not even playing it lol

If you sh❤️at yourself while playing the game then the game did its job. Does it need more?
