I am convinced that a parabolic rod does a much better job than a fast rod when casting, fast or extra fast rods were not built to achieve greater casting distances, but to be more technical and allow more sensitivity and information. those who have good technique will certainly cast farther and with less effort with a parabolic rod.

※ご存知だと思いますが、日本では、風の強い日に、0.4gの軽量ジグを、遠くに飛ばすとき、飛ばし浮きというモノを使用しています。
I also notice that in marketing materials the companies will tout distance with jigheads with rods up to 68-610. With longer rods they start touting distance with “rigs” which I think means using a sinker.
So maybe what the companies are saying kinda confirms the notion that you get diminishing returns above 69-610ish?
Tasline 8lbs is PE 0.4 with 0.1mm diameter but has a true breaking stength of almost 15lbs.
Shimano kairiki 6lbs is PE 0.6 with 0.06mm diameter not sure of the breaking strength.
So from my understanding, the lower the PE rating, the thinner the line but why would tasline be rated PE 0.4 but have a thicker diameter than PE 0.6 from Shimano or Daiwa?
