SHORE JIGGING 101 - NO BS TRUTH ABOUT SHORE JIGGING RODS
In this video, we talk about shore jigging rods - what they are, what makes them different. this video is aimed towards people that want to get into shore jigging, what rods to look for what the rods do and more importantly, how you should approach your purchasing decision. This video contains my findings as someone who had to go through intense research and development for a shore jigging rod project that was sold exclusively to the UAE market.

My goodness my head is spinning so much information in your posts.
As a 50+ yrs fisherman of varying disciplines and just starting in shore jigging your channel is amazing. Thanks for taking the time and effort to pass on your knowledge.
PS , I fished Dubai forty+ years ago, before the break water days and it was excellent.
Please keep up the good work.

Thanks for great video! One year after, but I have one (for now😊) question: -Are micro-guides ONLY to save weight at the rod-tip? -Or is it to save money? -Does it give more feel?

My first rod was a Abu Garcia 10 ft rod caught me everything from small fish bream flaties up to small sharks and bigger jewfish had it for almost 10 years then it was damaged somehow not by myself i miss that rod was so great .

Best explaination so far! I started serious fishing journey when i was located in fujairah. I started with daiwa seabasa paired with shimano sedona. Then i find my setup was a bit heavy for the small game i was fishing and i switch into indonesian rod followed by malaysian rods. At the moment i realized that i was for light game, checking the net for some infos then i decided to use shimano soare bb 762ul T paired with shimano bb soare 2000sspg. Oh boy! All i can say that it was the perfect set for and for shore casting and kayak session here. You are definetly on the spot on what you are explaining. Hats off to you sir Kit!

Thank you for the honest words :)

I decided to start out with some SaltyStage Prototype rods (XSJS 1133MH60 rated 20-90g and XSLS-952SL rated 3-30g), and they pretty much cover all my needs for now from micro jigs and tiny stick baits around 7g up to 80g jigs and plugs.
I am absolutely happy with them, but don't know the high end stuff either.

Sometimes I miss a heavier option, but these moments are rare.

As you recommend couple years a go, now i have 6 m'craft rods. they're light though.. SJ, LJ, eging, casting, and even the travel rod.. And I pair 3plecross LSJ with 4k TP SW, too.. thanks Kit.. may God take care of you and ur family always.. 😃

The most expensive spinning reel I own is my diawa Laguna t-c 3000 for my ugly stick gx2 spinning and my jigging bait caster rod and reel from temu

Incredible video Kit, Thanks so much. I can't wait to get going with shore jigging here. I'm overcoming a shoulder injury, should be well soon. .I should have thought of shore jigging much sooner. My handicap is that my only source for gear and tackle is Lazada. Very challenging. I hope to figure it out. Are all your rods one piece? Here it seems they are al 2 or 3 piece.
I'm starting out with an old Shimano Sonora with a 7"6" ugly stik I brought from the states. I need to catch some dinner and prove that there are big fish out there before I can spend some retirement money . LOL. I was finally able to tie a PR knot today after trying for a solid day. I ordered some 10g jigs and am waiting to get started. I will be happy just catching some Bonita for now.
