Today we will be discussing the forgotten case of S#ARP, KPOP's first (& worst imo) bullying scandal. Why do you think Jiyoung did what she did, and what should companies do to prevent such situations from happening in the future?

Let me know your thoughts and opinions! And lastly, I wish all of you a great Christmas! 🎄

Disclaimer: Please don't hate on anyone in this video. It has been 20 years and people can grow and change!

This is beyond bullying. She was harassed, isolated, gaslit, and humiliated on a public scale and people chose money over the truth, knowing it could ruin her life. She was abused, plain and simple. I wouldn't have forgiven her for all of that, especially since it was sheer luck she was even found out, but it is a testiment to her character that she was able to.

Can't be understated that the manager basically saved a life here. There's been so many stories of bully victims never getting justice and end up shortly taking their own lives, so this story could have ended very differently, just imagine the state of mind that poor girl was in during that press conference.

The bystanders are just as guilty as the bully! “She’s so strong for enduring this” SIR what were YOU doing to stop it?

"i was young and immature" my ass. she's just sorry she got caught. imagine if that manager didn't come out with the truth, she would've shed her crocodile tears and made jihye's life hell.

Just the fact that she almost payed off everyone to lie in her favor just goes to show how you can't even trust witnesses in a scandal like this.

The way the manager profited from the bribe and still did what was right. That's peak intelligence my friend.

I understand how someone could forgive their bully, but the fact that she went as far as BRIBING others in order to ruin Jihye's life/career would just be too far for me. Jihye is a better person than I could ever be.

Young: "I hate this woman, I don't even want to be on the same stage as her!"

Staff: "Okay, then we will put her on a different stage."

Young: "She’s getting her own stage!? How dare she! She is so selfish."

I heard that Jihye just gave birth to her second child!
On a serious note, this bullying scandal is one hell of a mess. I hope Jihye is doing well!

I know violence is wrong but Jiyoung should be happy all Jihye did was smack her a few times cause I would’ve done way worse. Bullying someone for that long is unforgivable I can’t imagine the loneliness Jihye felt.

Jihye said "Talk shit get hit" 💀😭

"top 10 anime betrayals" lmao

seriously tho i'm glad that manager had a strong sense of morality

We need more people like that manager...I DON'T wanna imagine what could have happened if he wouldn't stepped up and throw that bully under the bus.
😕

I could never associate myself with people who bullied me and literally accuse me of bullying when I was bullied on a national stage in an environment that could have possibly led to a horrible decision. There would be no forgiveness there would be no reunion. Period

This is why…I can’t stand children who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth (in cases like these). Their parents and literally everyone around them, no matter the age difference, will treat them like their a godly figure who could do no wrong. The group should’ve disbanded sooner. They allowed this to happen to Ji-hye but once something happened to poor old Ji-young the press came. She was literally a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Even her lil “friend” who “tried to stay neutral” wasn’t shit. I don’t even care that I forgot his name 😭 If you seriously think that you’re being a good person by staying “neutral” all whilst witnessing an innocent person be harassed for months on end…you’re not a good person at all. You’re just as bad as the bully. He never stood up for her in any way. He just cared about keeping his job and look where that got him lmao

Ji-Hyes manager was a blessing. I hope he’s eating good and both sides of his pillows were cold that day.

Gotta admit jiyoung's acting skills are so good she should have tried in kdramas instead of kpop 💀

That manager is a real one. What a G for exposing the truth even tho everyone else was paid off and gonna lie

the way justice was served in this situation is fucking BEAUTIFUL. jiyoung bribing her manager to tell a story that wasn't true & confidently handing over that mic just for him to tell the truth is AMAZING.

Shout out to the manager. You can feel the animosity in his voice  when he was when finally spilling the truth. I imagine he had to keep the truth hidden for so long for the sake of his job or the group. And I'm sure he knew the risk of being black listed after going against her due to jiyoung's social and financial influence. Yet he still did the right thing. I hope he and ji Hye are doing well
