As a Catholic you maybe interested in Olanius Pius, he's the last surviving Catholic in 40k if I remember right

Here goes something funny about the novella this animatic is based on: In the novella, the Emperor didn't introduce himself to Uriah as Apocalypses, but Revelation.
In many of the Horus Heresy novels, the Emperor's personal confidant and best friend, Malcador the Sigilite/the Hero often calls the Emperor Revelation.

The official language of the Imperium is High Gothic. It's a language heavily inspired by church Latin. Games Workshop is many things, subtle is not one of them.

I am not a religious person myself, but It was really interesting to get a priests opinion on this. Thank you.

As an ungodly Polish atheist all I can say to a Catholic priest gaming channel is: "Godspeed"

In the lore of the setting, the Emperor is an ancient human psychic.  He'd founded numerous schools of thought and religions and is in the works implied to be the historical Moses, Jesus, and St. George.  He has enough power to be an old-school demigod, but denies being divine.  After a disaster in the 25th millennium brought Humanity to the brink of ruin, he decided to stop hiding in the shadows and directly control Mankind's path.
in the 30th Millennium he rose as a warlord upon Earth, sweeping through other dictatorships and despotates in the dusty wastes of the ruined world, and set off to unify Humanity throughout the galaxy.  His true enemy wasn't the alien, but intelligences in what could be called the netherworld.  He had the "bright" idea that the way of starving those Chaos Gods out was to remove their worship by eliminating the concept of worship.

All he did was to create a vacuum awaiting something to fill it.

As a Serbian Orthodox who loves Warhammer i'm pleasantly surprised to see this, and from a Croatian brother no less! You made my day sir.

35:42 funnily enough the priest understood human nature to perfectly summarize the rest of the series while the Emperor denies this and causes the priest to, once again, be right. Who would have guessed the humble priest is right compared to the arrogant antitheist.

One of the biggest ironies is that Apocalypsis knows there are gods
He just doesn't like them

They forgot the Emperor's giant golden fedora.

The best irony concerning the emperor is that the result of his work was the creation of a dour leaden corrupt galaxy spanning church that worshipped him as a god DESPITE being exactly the opposite of his wishes. He was as flawed a character as any other.

Just a note, in the book, the Emperor calls himself Revelation, not Apocalypsis.

They had to change a few things to not get sued.

Apocalypses is at this moment in time, about 38000 years old. That is why he talks so sure of himself.

51:50 that's actually a Thunder Warrior, they were predecessors to the Space Marines, more aggresive and unstable

I was playing a game at my local church once and my opponent was a priest who was playing…..

A chaos / Khorn army😂😂

fulgurite is lightning rock made from the emperor using his power and leaving its residue in stone

The best part is is that the emperor knows that much of what he's saying is not true, at least in his fictional universe.  This is not a debate in which he's arguing from position that he believes in but rather he's basically testing his conversion methods and his ability to persuade people of Faith to abandon that faith in favor of secular ideologies. He knows that it's not true but believes he needs to convince people that it's true regardless in order to combat the malignant gods of Chaos. Paraphrasing the emperor's own words he is testing his ability to convince people to "believe in the unbelievable without proof." The unbelievable in this universe is that the supernatural doesn't exist.

this whole video is from the Warhammer 40K universe. Essentially the hooded figure we see in the beggining is The Emporer and this is his personal interaction with the last priest inside the last church on Earth known in this universe as Terra.

30:48 not in the past technically. But in the far future of 30k. The franks are of French origin, and the land is still France, but after the height of human potential and two apocalypses.

The reason the original video was taken down is because, a while ago, Games Workshop (the owners of Warhammer 40k) decided to ban any fan animations based on their properties, which this qualifies as.

The Emperor learned nothing from this encounter, and then along came Lorgar and he didn't know how to handle the situation
