The End of an Era 🏡 Selling My House in London, Getting Snowed In & Some Life Updates ❤️

The end of an era… 🏡❤️

In this vlog, I’m saying goodbye to my London house after finally completing the sale — a moment that turned out to be far more emotional than I expected. Alongside that, I’ve been struck down with illness, dealing with snowed-in January days, and navigating a very slow (and slightly chaotic) start to the new year.

From last walks around the neighbourhood, to closing a huge chapter of my life, to trying to rest, reset, and figure out what I actually want from 2026 — this vlog is a real mix of nostalgia, life updates, home chats, and cosy winter moments.

If you enjoy honest life updates, house journeys, slow January energy, and a bit of emotional reflection, I think you’ll enjoy this one 🤍

Let me know in the comments:
✨ Have you ever had to say goodbye to a place that meant a lot to you?
✨ Are you setting goals this year — or ditching them entirely?

Remembering back to when you two found the London house and put in so much hard work in fixing it up. Even that special little spot for Ava.

“Only four years ago…” and I remember most of it.
Congratulations Lucy and Joel on closing this chapter, watching you transform that house, from the red door and the Victorian knocker to seeing the trip to TJ Maxx for the doorhandles (followed by a glass of Prosecco) has been such a joy. Every DIY project and detail told your story so beautifully and it’s been wonderful to follow along these last four years.

I love that your parents were with you at the house. Have a fantastic 2026.

You will regret selling your London house….you should NEVER sell a London property unless you purchase another property in London. I get that you might have sold it because you have property with your partner in Yorkshire but you have nothing to fall back on now if your relationship fails.

Joel, maybe the new owner will stumble across this post one day and they’ll see how much you love the house and it will help them love it, too. 💕

Don’t listen to the trolls mate….the main thing is you both enjoyed your London house and came out with a profit. Well done. I hope you do well with your ISA too.

Oh Joel! I got a little teary eyed saying goodbye to the London house! So happy Gary and Debbie could help you get your last tidbits. Very glad to welcome you back to 2026! Let's make some memories. Always ❤

Love that you made money on the house and the friendship survived. Ignore the naysayers

Joel, it is always so comforting seeing how supportive your parents are💝

You do have goals it's just that you have fulfilled them. You and Keegan decided to stay put in his house for now. That allowed you renovate the kitchen you disliked and to also tackle the adjoining rooms. Plus you and Lucy sold the London house. The end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Happy 2026

I am far too soppy! 😆 I wasn't expecting to be emotional but I got all teary-eyed as soon as I saw you and your mum walking up to the door 😢 The end of an era 💔

Joel and Ava and Gary and Debbie, oh my!!
Lovely but bittersweet vlog. I loved the feeling inside that house. Congratulations to you and Lucy!

End of an Era with the London house, I remember when you both bought the house and moved in...all the DYI projects (esp. the knocker on the front door and the spot for Ava)....I'm so happy you and Lucy are still good friends and will keep in touch. The new kitchen looks amazing! We did a kitchen reno a few years ago so I totally understood how you were feeling, it took way longer than the estimate and we couldn't live in the house while it was going on (we had bathroom renos going on at the same time...NIGHTMARE). Happy New Year Joel!!

Bittersweet to see the London house sold, but Congrats to you and Lucy! 🎉
I'm glad you’re feeling better. It's awful to be sick over Christmas.
I love the new kitchen!

Big hugs to you and Keegan!

As always a very enjoyable video, Joel. I do hope you are feeling better. By now, it definitely stinks to be sick at the holidays. That’s for sure. My poor niece has had the same problem with sickness at the holidays. Congratulations on getting the house sold. 🥳 it certainly served you and Lucy very well and I finally remember all your Covid videos from the new house. It seem to recall a very fun floral arranging competition between the two of you at one point. Wishing you all the best for a healthy and happy 2026! You are a total joy.
