I still think about this team/season. You knew that team was going to be special when Colt McCoy ran over 2 rice defenders for a TD.
Should have played in the NC game. Seeing Bob Stoops run up the score on teams keeping his starters in well into the 4th while Brown was taking the starters out in the third/fourth quarter still pisses me off.

Orakpo was a BEAST!!!!

They were a better team in 08 than they were in 09 when they actually went to the National Championship game.

My dad is a tech fan, because he is from Lubbock, but ever since i was a kid, I loved that burnt orange and white.... I will always hate tech for that loss and my hate for ou will live on through my kids.... HOOK 'EM ALL THE WAY TO HEAVEN!!!!!🤘🤘🤘

I’ve been LOOKING ALL OVER for this!

That year the big 12 was loaded with good teams high octane offenses all over the conference

Still looking for the 2009 season

2000 Miami and 2008 Texas.
Feel each others pain.
2000 FSU and 2008 Oklahoma didn't deserve it.

Will mushchamp was so good at Texas I miss him man

I’ll never forget Blake Gideon’s name lol

Colt McCoy got robbed of the Heisman trophy that year and Blake Gideon so cost us the Texas tech game but he still was a good player regardless.

I really want to thank you for posting these season videos (there was one about the '63 season, too that you should post if you can).  They all bring back such wonderful memories.

I loved this team Squad

I was at OU - Texas in 2008, it was my sophomore year. On the Shipley return, before it was kicked I looked at my buddy and said “this one is going to be run back”. I just had this feeling like it was going to happen, sure enough Shipley took it to the house. My buddy looked at me and said “how in the hell you know that?!?” 😂😂😂

If you look back, Texas wasn’t the only team from the BCS that was robbed. There were a bunch. I think if you look back, the big 12 conference was the best in 2008. Just about every team was ranked. The high expectations from Oklahoma was there, I believe Texas tech was the biggest surprise that year. Once Texas beat ou. That set the tone that year for the Longhorns. Texas played the one of the toughest stretch that year, ou, Missouri, osu, then tech. Not to mention UT had to beat atm. Which they did big. Unfortunately the BCS went off on “style-points” such BS! Texas should have played Florida. But such is life, I always bring this up for that year. Texas was the only one to win their bowl game. Ou and tech did not. Hook’em! 🤘🐂

I didn’t get over that loss to tech until lil Jordan Humphrey returned the favor in the same end zone about a decade later. I grew up in Lubbock and I hate tech more than any other school.

Next year 🤘

That year Texas Tech went bawls out against a team of Texans playing for the state and University of Texas and then couldn't p!$$ a single drop against  a team of Texans playing for the state and university of oklahoma.

It's been 16 years sent Texas longhorns football team has won national championship Colt McCoy was a good QB Hook em horns

Texas should’ve played for the Big XII title that year. OU annihilated Texas Tech but Texas beat OU that year. The BCS bureaucracy billsh*t kept them from what they rightly deserved. The CFB is no better.
