This conversation has taught me more about relationships than Mel Robbins' books ever will.

I am LIVID at this woman. Publicizing this conversation. Actively gaslighting her daughter. Playing the victim but claiming that Sawyer is. Blaming Sawyer as an elementary school KID on their relationship problems. UN.REAL. and she's admitting to stealing the work and still refuses to credit the poet.

I can't believe that I fell for her 5-second rule when she came out with it.  None of this B.s. worked.  Once I started therapy with a good therapist, I was able to start real change.  You are doing great work to expose these grifters.

I honestly hope Sawyer finds this video and watches your commentary to validate how she must have been feeling during this conversation. The gaslighting is WILD.

So her daughter does a brilliant analysis in just one day, came up with the concept for the entire second part of the book, helped write it, AND HER MOTHER COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO PUT HER DAUGHTER’S NAME ON THE COVER. Mel I hate you.

This is CRAZY. Her daughter felt like she only cared about work, so her daughter felt she had to get involved with her work to get any attention. Like?? And then still starving her of that validation by not crediting her. Also, why are these people who work in personal development admitting that they have severe emotional issues that they're taking out on their family?

As I watch this, I'm angry that Robbins aired this awkward and should-be-kept-private conversation. I guess nothing's off limits as long as it gets listeners/ratings.

What a bunch of platitudes. Her daughter was trying to tell her something but she never listens to her

Mel basically discovered that people have boundaries and her way to stay in control of that is to say “Let them!” to make herself feel superior and dismiss their autonomy.

You can tell how effective therapy has been for Sawyer. She’s able to communicate so effectively at her mother and using phrases to appropriately place blame. chefs kiss

Mel didn't credit Cassie Philipps with Let Them so of course she won't put her own daughter on the cover of "THEIR" book. She's a classic narcissist.

Mel undermining her daughter’s authentic take on their relationship is all I needed to witness.

Mel Robbins, Master Momsplainer, Queen of repackaged, canned, bulleted self help.  When I heard her intro on her channel where she announces that she is a "no.1 best selling author"...that kind of self aggrandizement is an immediate red flag and tells me that there is a lot of ego at play.  Her daughter strikes me as far more authentic.

Mel uses her daughter's honesty as talking points. She frames herself as the expert when it's simply her opinion.

Wow. That conversation between her and her daughter really showed what type of person Mel Robins is. Summary from Mel Robins: 1) What you felt happens all the time, it's not my fault, it's the situation's fault; 2) I was actually doing this for you; 3) You put up the barrier and became stoic, and I had to find a way to get to you; 4) You're being really honest and vulnerable now, which is great content to turn into a lesson for the folks at home listening to us now; 5) Btw, buy my book (which I co-wrote with someone whose name is not on there). What a piece of work.

Narcissism is one helluva drug.

Her turning the conversation back to how she was the real victim while her daughter was pouting is so gross to watch.

Wow - the level of dismissal of whatever the daughter says vs 'I had to be this way' . yikes.

Not to mention… the book says “you can’t control people but you can influence them” and talks about ways to change other people in subtle ways such as classical conditioning 💀
