Bethesda's president Jill Braff has claimed Obsidian won't face any major shifts, but I think that New Vegas 2 (or whatever it's called) check will change everything. What say you?

Bethesda gave obsidian 18 months to make a fallout game. And then they gave themselves 18 years to make a fallout game.

"Hey you, you're finally awake"

If this was 2005-2010 I would be excited.

Yo Matty thank you for the shout out holy 💚

Obsidian is a shadow of its former self. Bethesda is a shadow of its former self. Not much has changed with this 'merger.'

Avowed and OW2 weren’t close to being the success XBOX has hoped for, and they honestly felt soulless. I think it’s a great thing Obsidian can’t waste more millions making watered down RPGS in worlds nobody cares about filled with characters people won’t remember.

I’m here Matty

Still waiting for that mythical Outer World's 2 DLC that I paid for months and months ago now.

Amazing video, i thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you Matty.

Take me back to playing Fallout 3 on XboX 360 for the first time.

Tunnel snakes fool mentioned let's gooo

I have to admit, the idea that I might be feeling Fallout fatigue by 2037 isn't making me the least bit worried.

You forgot about one thing they still have to realese Outer worlds 2 DLCs so they have that to finish along with grounded before fully comiting to new fallout game.

Damn couldn't even let them make the next Fallout on there own..

A change to who you report to CAN change things, so it's not nothing. One of the biggest problems I have with Obsidian being absorbed by Bethesda is that Bethesda has a Todd-shaped bottleneck. Todd already is a bottleneck within Bethesda, while Obsidian is the only studio in Microsoft that ships games on a regular basis.

I really just hope they can still do there own thing and not forced to do things they dont want to like what happened with Redfall and arkane

Must've been the jet..

My thing has always been how can the studios be so large with so many employees and yet we can’t put a game out more than once every like 8 to 10 years. Games used to come out like every three or four years a studio would finish a new game now it’s taking so long. People aren’t really growing up with your franchises because there’s not enough entries in their childhood to make them nostalgic for it.

I have a two year-old little girl and I’m excited to show her some of the games I enjoyed and hope she enjoys those franchises as well but there’s a lot of them that she’s not gonna have nostalgic 30 years from now to play them if there’s not a new game more than like once or twice in our entire childhood. I’m not saying we need to pump out a new game every other year, but if we could go back to like 3 to 4 years between games at those that would be great. Because that would also make it so you don’t have to make $1 billion to make any kind of profit cause you’re not spending you know have 1,000,000/2 $1 billion making the game because of the cause you’re not having to pay for like payroll for you know 89 years and all the other development cost for so long.

Asha is doing a great job. I look forward to her next moves.
