a girl is begging to be killed because you have robbed her of her autonomy... and STILL all he's thinking about is himself.

The way he says it is like he is punishing the real nikki for not liking him in the first place.

Everyone like “oh brother THIS GUY STINKS!”

Notice how he starts to say “what would be so bad about being with me” but stops himself to say “ what *is so bad about being with me?” He loves the idea of being with Nikki, but not Nikki herself. When he heard the real Nikki screaming on the phone he hangs up, when she begs him for help he slinks away into the shadows.

It's really sad, because I saw a video of a girl saying that the real Nikki kept trying to tell Bear that it wasn't her hoping and thinking that her "friend." would actually try to save her, and help her, but then she slowly realized that Bear didn't actually care about her at all. Not in a friendly way. He just wanted to possess her. That's gotta be so heartbreaking. Imagine thinking someone's your friend and they care about you. And you're begging them for help, and they honestly don't care..
That would suck...

The uniform response to this was mostly "are you serious? that's what he has to say?" and that makes me happy

He has the audacity to have his feelings hurt when the girl whose autonomy he completely violated wanted to die

18:20 I’m so glad someone pointed this out. If Wish Nikki hadn’t started actually hurting people, Bear wouldn’t have done anything to change his wish even knowing the real Nikki was trapped. Even when he called the number on the box, he first asked to alter the wish rather than cancel it, probably to make her love for him less intense or violent but not to set the real Nikki free.

A person or more pointed out a red flag with who Bear’s character is all about was he didn’t give his cat a proper burial. He threw his cat away in the trash, which shows that Bear discards anything that has ran its use.

I feel like Elastigirl/Helen from Incredibles shouting at Bob
“THIS IS NOT! ABOUT! YOU!”

Bear used Nikki’s body for his own sexual gratification. That is unforgivable.

The actor who played Bear, Michael Johnston, nailed this role. I find the character so fascinating with how well he gets under peoples skin.

Alex Meyers: "Am I out of touch? No, it's everybody else that's wrong."

Can’t believe people say this movie isn’t explicit enough in condemning bear - these reactions demonstrate the opposite

“What’s so bad about being with me?”

A lot.

Bear was the one with the obsession.

Everyone collectively saying, "RELEASE HER, BEAR, YOU TRASH DEMON" in their own way.

The women being largely unfazed bc they’ve met men like this and the men being like SHOCKED 💀
