Guys, I think we just glossed over the reason as to why the remnants of the Chaotix team is in debt. They kept unsticking eachother and got into the negatives.

If anyone here knows the flash game "Run" on coolmath, it must have been inspired by this game's special stages

This installment features gameplay similar to previous games in the series, but changes things by introducing a team-based mechanic, in which the player must utilize the abilities of multiple characters to make it through a stage. The player, however, does not control their partners directly. Every character has a unique ability, such as Espio's ability to stick to walls and Charmy's flight. The plot of this game sees the return of Metal Sonic, who constantly thwarts the heroes until the game's final act, in which Metal Sonic even usurps the Dr. himself as the final boss when he transforms into a giant monster.

All-in-all, I find Sonic Heroes to be a very enjoyable game.

The barcode on the level transition is probably meant to make it look like an admission ticket, since every zone is called an "attraction"

"the other games give you satisfying fun and innocent endings"

Yeah the others, unless the other game is master system Sonic 2 where Tails fucking DIES, that or he just gains the super power of becoming a constellation

The Virgin Tails' flying
The Chad Charmy's flying

They should've named it

Chaotix & Knuckles

"He looks like some kind of fat gay pregnant dog or something."
-Cybershell, 2017

I'm convinced the devs intended for this game to be played coop, its so much more fun than single player. You get to just slingshot each other all over the map at really high speeds. chaotic but fun gameplay.

Ah yes, the mid 90s tradition of putting every single color on the screen at once

Sonic’s Legs in the good ending are tan for some reason.

no it's not

i love that when you "die" in chaotix you just get sent to the fucking shadow realm lmao

you can literally see cybershell's struggle while playing the levels, constantly going back to gain speed, getting stuck, climbing, and failing to throw his partner far enough

Did anyone else realize that the bad and good endings are basically backwards? The good ending usually goes into some amount of detail, while the bad ending is usually "here're the collectible macguffins, here's your enemy with them, try again and get them back", whereas here, the bad ending goes into (some implicit) detail and the good ending is just the collectibles and cameos from characters.

I might've mentiones this once, but Amy & Charmy both first appeared in a Sonic manga from the early 90s that predated CD and Chaotix. With Vector being scrapped from Sonic 1, the only original character to my knowledge was Espio.

And now that you've mentioned the fat gay pregnant dog, I can't unsee the resemblence.

“And a character named Ray the Squirrel who was never been mentioned again...”
Until Sonic Mania Plus!

"look at all this information I can read about my favorite characters!"

"Wechina"

"Ken penders"

"And mighghighighi-"

And the cameo of sonic gives him tan legs. What the heck happend?

20:25 About the colours, in Japan there is a design theroy known as 《実花美学》, which means the beauty knowledge of solid flower, that involves uses of colourful visual elements, created by Mika Ninagawa (蜷川 実花), a Japanese photographer and director, known for her brightly coloured photographs of flowers, goldfish, and landscapes; the team who made this game could be under influence of her style I guess.
