Which city in WoW Classic is actually the biggest?

In this video, we line up all 10 major WoW Classic cities from Vanilla, Burning Crusade, and Wrath of the Lich King, then measure their true in-game footprint using Blender and WoW’s internal yard-based coordinate system.

To keep the comparison consistent, each city was measured using a top-down footprint method based on the actual city model perimeter.

Cities included:

Stormwind
Orgrimmar
Ironforge
Undercity
Thunder Bluff
Darnassus
Exodar
Silvermoon
Dalaran
Shattrath

And as always, thank you for all the comments and ideas a lot of the best videos on this channel start with your suggestions.

This is crazy. I always assumed Darnassus was the biggest because it feels like it takes forever to get anywhere, especially at low level.

I would never ever have picked UC and IF to be smaller than Wrath Dalaran. That one really shocked me.

The placement of the forge and anvil in Stormwind make it biggest.

Wow, had no idea ironforge was so small! Always seems like the biggest city when you’re inside and have no mount.

Shattrath feels so small compared to the rest... I guess that's partially due to flying as well.

But how big is Gnomeregan?

I think this really highlights just how good early Blizz's design was that smaller cities can FEEL massive. Also insane that Shattrath is the biggest.

This explains so much about 1 quest and you know which quest taking for so ever long.

Stormwind and Ironforge always felt like one big city to me. The railway connecting them makes travel between them easy even at low level and when you get a mount it's pretty much a breeze traveling between them.

I never even thought of Shattrath as big. Crazy that it’s actually the largest.

This is so cool, your visualizations are also top notch. I liked the isometric view of SW, it looks really neat, like something out of some other rpg game.

It would be really cool to see maybe a short of the classic vs revamped silver moon

shouldn’t teldrassil also have included the path from the entrance to the terrace of warriors? where you buy the owl pets and have target dummies in later xpacs?
