"There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it." -- bald snake man

i love warcraft lore spoon fed to me for the thousandth time. there is something timeless about it. like, i knew about all these, and yet the way verigan collects all the info and presents them is like eating my favorite dish made by a michelin star chef. i want a deep dive into all of the classes!

It’s really funny that theres a bunch characters walking around Stormwind with the demonic equivalent of unstable nuclear weapons and the church has to be like “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see that”

sad you didnt mention The golden blood robe quest,  That robe is Iconic for warlocks. Also the two orb quests, and the troll feather quests. All so memorable as a warlock.

I find funny that the Ever Paladin first fray into another classes is their complete moral opposite

aoe2 music will always transport me to another plane

Babe wake up a paladin is talking about my favorite class

You know Warlocks are going to have deep lore because of their hangout spot in Stormwind. Mages are posted up with a whole tower in their own city quarter, Priests/Paladins proudly patrol their Cathedral, and then there's the warlocks hiding in the basement of a friend's tavern. That's how you know their lore is gonna be interesting.

This is an awesome series idea.

While there's certainly something to be said for the scale of modern WoW's conflicts naturally leading to heroes and classes needing to be created, I REALLY love the Vanilla characterization of the classes because of how much more subtle the antagonists are in that version of the world. Like, people didn't become Paladins because of a confirmed Old God sighting or because Silvermoon is about to die for the tenth time, they became paladins out of devotion, interest in community work, and relational ties to the Silver Hand.

The way that EverQuest handled its factions back in the day--giving each race/class combination its own guild mini-faction that has a story in the world and often conflict with other guulds--very clearly inspired WoW's early design and it makes the world feel a lot richer for it. I wish a little more time was taken to make it feel like the classes really occupy the cities they come from and do business in again. It may seem harder because everyone can be anything nowadays but with how much crazy shit has gone on in WoW it wouldn't be a surprise that more different classes started establishing footholds in major faction cities to get more combatants. The issue isn't even oversaturation it's just that Blizz forgot they did this, I guess

The shortest half hour ever.
Good stuff.

I did all of these quests on my undead warlock, ShutupMeg, back in Classic.

A group of warlocks in my guild pooled our gold to buy the Dreadsteed summoning materials, and I wound up being the one who kept them, then I would go into Dire Maul and perform the ritual fight each time someone needed their Dreadsteed.

I probably did that 40-50 times over the course of Classic, helping other Horde ‘Locks on the server finish their epic mount quest.  Is y’all getting a decent tip of 20-100G depending on circumstances.

Good memories…

The doomguard title card says Voidwalker.

Impeccable timing! I just dusted off my Warlock last night. Really looking forward to the next 30 minutes of my life :) Thank you.

16:20 I actually didn't know about any of the minion quests outside of the imp and voidwalker as I have never leveled a warlock that far, and I absolutely love stuff like this in games where something isn't laid in-front of you and that it is rewarding to explore the world.

I definitely are going to level a warlock now to just read and see all of this!

The felwood council area is one of the most intriguing open world areas to me. How big it is makes it feel like such an important place, always felt like it deserved more attention.

I always chuckle at the Alliance voidwalker quest chain where the quest giver is more upset that his girlfriend ran off with his magic necklace than he is at losing the floozy.

This is excellent, please make videos like this for each class.

Please make this a series of all the classes!

The undead succubus quest is always an interesting one for me. To complete it at level 20, you need to cross the Arathi Highlands, a level 30 zone. Even sticking to the main roads can be dangerous.

The quest makes you work for it. While I don’t use the succubus much, the reward also nets you your first soul bag.
