Late one night I got an email. A man named Trevor wanted to send me some surprise gifts that would help me on my watch repair and restoration journey. When the box arrived, I opened it to find this stunning ladies vintage Oris pocket watch. I got it on my timegrapher and found it wasn't working the best and needed a service. Here's how the story of its service went.

Nice work.
This is a pretty modern pocket watch with a ladies movement. Vintage pocket watches are huge by comparison and have different challenges!
I'm planning on replacing the carpet with laminate to make my life easier for those moments ;-)

We all see flying watch parts over the bench and sometimes we're lucky enough to find them. A tip: I use a sheet of plastic to open the watch case to avoid scratches, whether I'm using the Jaxa key or a knife.

That was fun. Beginners are advised to start with pocket watches because the parts are smaller and easier to lift as you build up arm strength. I'm sure that's right. 😉
