Its horrifying to think this is how some people have mothers like this.

Seiichi’s mom is the boy mom final boss

The urge to make an alternate reality where seichi and fuukishi end up together is immeasurable

I don't think this manga needs an anime adaptation, but I think it would work as a TV drama series. Yet again, I really love this a lot, along with Happiness.

The look that Shigei's mom gave Seiko, it was pretty ominous. It's almost like she suspected her sister of pushing her son off of the cliff.

This manga is quite literally just a woman emotionally abusing and manipulating her son and then him being forced to forgive her bc shes his mom. I dont think ill ever see a more true to life story than this. Its so fucking tragic the decades of life she stole from him and in the end she is still forgiven. I see stories like this all the time and rarely ever see then told in manga or tv

Blood on the tracks genuinely broke me, first time I read it I was damn near inconsolable.

This series was SO good! I have binge read the whole thing in one sitting because I just COULD not STOP. The ending hit me so hard.

I loved this series.

When I read it, I remember seeing people criticising Fukiishi for her "risqué" behaviour, but that sort of thing is actually very common for girls with her kind of trauma

On a complete side note, the scratchiness of the crosshatching really adds to the ominous feelings in the manga. It's really imcredible.

I feel so so sorry for Seichi. He is so manipulated by his mom. And even when he wants to rebel or when he disagrees with her, he always does what she says because he has been manipulated his whole life into thinking that he has to do anything she says and that she is doing the right thing. It’s so sad

I never understood what people meant when they felt empty or bittersweet after something unexpected happens to them, but after finishing it, I understand it now

I've read Flowers of Evil. I've read Happiness. I've read Inside Mari and I've even read Sweet Poolside but none of Shuzo Oshimi's mangas have touched my brain as inappropriately as Blood on the Tracks. I can't remember why I didn't finish this (probably time stuff) but Seiko is so unsettling it hurts. Her expressions, her actions, the way she talks, everything is just off. Then coupled with art so beautiful you can't look away, it's just one wild ride of a manga and a great one at that (at least that's how I felt upto the point I stopped). I remember really liking Fukiishi's character (still do) but yeah as you highlighted her expression in that one scene was off in a Seiko way. But maybe it us just Seiichi viewing things in a seeminly distorted manner.

I truly can't wait until the next video!

This series is creepy as hell. This level of manipulation gave me nausea.

People who have trauma in past and not healed from their past always like this. When you read this manga seiko the mother of seichi is also the victim of neglected and abuse from her parent. Someone who have their inner child is wounded or scarred when it's still not healed can't have healthy relationship or compassionate towards other. It's like their happiness always depended on external sources when the true one is coming from internal one. I think it's not shame when someone before marriage check their mental health 1st and get healed from them. Because if we still have wounded inner child when we become spouse or parents, we will be projected our trauma to them and it will be become endless wicked cycle. Everyone deserve their well being after all.🙂

I've read like half the manga (I've already seen everything that happened in this video), and I didn't remember Fukishi being so... strangely terrifying, she really does look like a miniature version of Sei Mother.

@B1ueS4ryYT 1 year ago

Seiko reminds me so much of my parents it's scary.
Whenever me or my siblings have a different opinion than them they hit us with the "so you think I'm lying", or," Why do you hate me?"
I've luckly learned to not fall for this anymore, but it's really easy for them to manipulate my younger siblings

This manga was such an emotional thing. I was terrified for Seiichi from so early on, the expressions are haunting, and I just felt... emptier and emptier as things went on. it was amazing, and I'm glad I read it, but much like Oyasumi Punpun, it's hard to recommend, more like "hey if you want to feel something close to emotional trauma, check this out"

I wanted to see Seiko pay for what she'd done so much, but just like real life, abusers rarely face consequences - or rather, consequences that allow their victims to move on. Anyway, what a unique and frankly horrifying read. This is why I prefer my horror to be crazy monsters and shit. This is TOO real, man.
