"This whole movie is just an excuse to put Elizabeth Hurley into different outfits."

And I have absolutely no problem with that.

The overly sensitive version crying at the beach is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.  Brendon Fraser has range!

Finally someone reacting to this gem of a movie. It's absolutely precious.

Fraser has incredible range. Few actors could headline comedies, dramas, and action films and do it successfully.

Oh course it was about how Alison looked, throughout the whole movie Elliott kept getting it wrong because he literally had no idea who Alison was

I always appreciate the detail that she drives a Diablo.

16:20 In México they just left the original audio of the actors "speaking" spanish and we loved it.

In a now mostly forgotten movies series, "Oh, God!", God was played by George Burns

The names of the 2 dogs during the beach scene are a nod to the amazing 1967 version with Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore.

to get out of the contract you must commit a TRULY selfless act. yet, if one had read the contract and known this, it would by-definition been impossible to commit a TRULY selfless act with your last wish, as you would KNOW that it would be an escape clause. the ONLY way to get out of the contract is to commit a TRULY selfless act, which means you must be ignorant of the clause. to get out of the contract, you must NOT READ the contract! the devil is a genius.

The way I gasped when I just saw this thumbnail. I've been begging reactors to do this movie for so long. Finally. I recently brought this movie to a watch party with some friends and they all loved it. Hopefully this gets more reactors to see it. So stoked to watch. Locking in *now*.

“I wish that sun would just SET!”  😭

20:30 we had an Earthquake in Chile Today, 6.9 on the Richter scale. Damn you Lizz Hurley 😂

Elizabeth Hurley in Austin powers was a huge crush. Elizabeth Hurley in this was an awakening 😂🥵

Simone's utter disgust at the Emotionally Sensitive Elliott was great.

I didn't realize until later on that Brendan Fraser pretty much made up my favorite movies growing up. The Mummy, Blast From The Past, Bedazzled and George Of The Jungle were constantly on repeat for me a a kid!

“When is that darn thing gonna set?”
That’s the best part of the movie to me. I love that wish. 😭😭😭😭 🌅

I still have that “mayo-nayo-naise” sound cue stuck in my head all these years later.

I work in healthcare. When she said "Sick people have notoriously bad breath" I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!

Incredibly funny movie with a sweet ending.  I had read somewhere that the schoolteacher outfit was pulled form Elizabeth Hurley's own wardrobe... the mind races.

Throwaway reference: the dogs in the beach scene are Peter and Dudley, the names of the primary actors in the original version of the film.
