I guarantee based on my own father that at least some subset of the "approves" are lying out of stubborn pride. When asked, they'll say they approve, but they're not excited to get out and vote

Nothing is new here.
We knew about Trump`s incompetence in every field of politics for many years.
And I don`t believe in polls.
