This is one of the albums that changed music and directed the 70s.

These four musicians are among the most exceptional in their respective fields. Roger Daltrey is one of the greatest voices in rock and roll history, Pete Townshend is a masterful songwriter and iconic guitar player, John Entwistle attacks the base and was called "Thunderfingers" for a reason and Keith Moon was always going insane on the drums - they modelled the Muppets' Animal after him. All in all, the Who are in the top 5 greatest and most important rock bands of all time.

As a teen this was one of the albums that I went to when I was feeling melancholy.  Keith Moon's avalanche drumming was like sunshine for the soul.

This is one of my top ten favorite albums of all time.  There is no "filler" on this album.  Every song is great, and side two is even better than side one.

The '70's was a great time to be a teenager. I cherish those times.

This album is legendary. Saw them in 76, still have my ticket stub.

IMO This is one of if not the best “album” song per song of all time.   Still fantastic after all these years.

You're listening to one of the greatest bands of all time - perhaps even the greatest - at their peak. The musicianship across this album is at a phenomenally high level. "The Song Is Over" has to be one of rock music's best songs that must music fans have never even heard of. It's a masterpiece.

I'm loving your heartfelt reaction to The Who: Daltrey, Townshend, Entwistle, Moon. Legends all.

A special mention must go to the great Nicky Hopkins on piano.

#3 of my top records of all time most of this album is still relevant today especially "Wont Get Fooled Again" no one writes such songs anymore glad to see you experiencing it

👍 Verdy… just think…. 1971 this album (The Who-Who’s Next), Led Zeppelin IV, The Doors - LA Woman, and The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers…. All came out. Seriously. Just an Incredible year musically.

The Beatles, the Stones and the Who exploded out of England in the sixties.  With two rock operas and dozens of hits The Who are one of the great rock bands of all time.

When you combine the best rock bass player and drummer that ever lived with a genius songwriter guitarist, then front that combo with legendary vocals...you now have the Who. Each member lead the charge in every song.

24:26 Don't worry, by the end of side B you won't get fooled again ;)

I turned 13 in February of 1971; this album, especially Baba O’Riley, was the soundtrack of my teenage years.  There were others, of course, but Who’s Next hit me hard.

Welcome to the world of "The Who"...🙂

Iconic era for rock and roll.  The Who, Zepplin, Stones, Guess Who, Santana etc.

Unquestionably, one of the greatest albums of all time.  I've seen the Who in concert a couple times (my first time in 1982, so unfortunately, never seen them with Keith Moon).  Truly awesome that you're reacting to this album, and I am really looking forward to your next Led Zeppelin reactions as well.
Peace

Side 1 is great.  Side 2 is off-the-charts legendary.

One of the best Who albums. I think that Quadrophenia was their best. Fortunately  I was able to see them once before Keith died. That was on December 15th, 1975 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. They ended the concert with Won't Get Fooled Again, which was a blast. The audience went nuts. People love Led Zeppelin, the Who has it all over them in concert, not even close.

One of the greatest rock albums of all time. Must be played loud!
