Insane props!! What was your favorite bar?🤔

No cuss words, no twerking, no provocative attire .. just pure rap . .. pure music .. yeah mad respect!! 🔥

PS118 (Public School 118) in the Bronx, alma mater of astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson who Jurin shouts out in the outro. Also, the great Rapsody had a Grammy nominated song Asteroids “you throw rocks, I throw asteroids”) so she’s in line with the space theme here and XG’s lore

XG dropped PS118 Rapsody/Jurin behind the scenes

XG will be appearing on American television, so please be sure to watch it. Proaram: NBC "The Voice" Season 28 Finale Broadcast Date: Tuesday, December 16, at 9/8c Performance Song: "GALA"🎉😂

The name of the XG first full length album dropping in Jan 2026 is CORE. Gala was the first pre-release from this album. We don’t know yet if PS118 will be on CORE but fairly soon Simon (Jakops) will be teasing the release soon on the XG channels but be clear that PS118 is only the name of this specific track not a whole project.

FYI Jurin wrote her own lyrics. 🐺🛸👽🦋

彼らはある文化へ飛び込むときにその歴史や基礎に敬意を持って行う、XGのそういうところがとても好きです

ALPHAZ ON DECK 🐺🐺🐺
Jurin delivers her fire flame old-school flavor here, and shes rapin rapin. I really get a De La Soul vibe from this song,
especially with the chorus in the background, when Rapsody starts rapping
On Reddit, or rather in the XG app chat channel, Maya hinted that she will probably be the next to release a solo song. But that's just speculation.
The butterfly at the beginning is Jurin's icon. It was also featured in GRL GVNG.
Oh man, there are so many different possibilities in this song. At first, I thought it had something to do with Psalm 118, because there are a lot of similar passages that are interpreted a little differently, but so much of it fits. It would have fit so nicely with the psalm. If that wasn't intentional, then we're probably dealing with a real rap goddess here. 😅 Now, however, Rapsody has said in an interview that the song title is “PS one eighteen” Suddenly, my great theory about Psalm 118 doesn't seem to fit anymore, even though the passages still fit really well. Even the latest BTS video from the photo shoot didn't really reveal anything to me. Is something coming on January 18? It's definitely going to be exciting.

Of course, there are other deeper meanings that do not refer to Psalm 118.
“Spaced out but I'm grounded / Like I'm near the grass”
Here, the wordplay with the astrophysicist's name continues.
Spaced out: Colloquially means “out of it” or “high,” but here it is literal: she is in space (the theme of the song).
Grounded: Means “down-to-earth”.
Neil de Grasse vs. Near the grass:
Her name is figuratively Neil de Grasse (the man from space).
But phonetically it sounds like “Near the grass” (close to the grass/ground).
The meaning: Although she moves lyrically on an extremely high, spherical level (“spaced out”), she does not lose her footing (“grounded”).
She connects the highest (astrophysics/space) with the most down-to-earth (grass/earth).
This passage serves to emphasize the artists' intellect. They are essentially saying:
“We are not just rappers, we are scientists and directors of our art. We understand the universe (Neil deGrasse Tyson) and stage it perfectly (Christopher Nolan),
while using the best technical equipment (Neumann).”
This fits perfectly with the previous comparison with Psalm 118: it underscores the claim to excellence and being chosen.

“Had to hit up Rapsody / The queen no bohemian”
This is a brilliant play on words involving names and music history.
The reference: The legendary rock band Queen has one of its most famous songs called “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The pun: Since the rapper's name is Rapsody, she plays with this connection.
The meaning:
She says, “I am a queen, but not ‘Bohemian’ (in the sense of the song Bohemian Rhapsody).”
“Bohemian” often means unconventional, artistically messy, or aimlessly living. She rejects this: she is a queen who rules and is precise, not an aimless artist.

„I get around like Pac I be traveling“
Pac: That's Tupac Shakur (2Pac), one of the most famous rappers of all time.
The reference: Tupac has a very well-known song called “I Get Around” (1993).
Ambiguity:
Tupac's original song is about him meeting lots of women and being sexually active (“getting around”).
In this space-themed text (“Traveling,” ‘Meridian’), Jurin/Rapsody reinterprets it: “I get around” here means that she travels globally (or intergalactically).
She is known everywhere, traveling around the world (or planets) like a superstar.
She redefines her name: when you hear “Queen” and “Rapsody,” don't think of the old song, think of me.

„5.88 trillion miles off 'em“
This number was not chosen at random, but is scientifically extremely precise – which ties in with the theme of “Neil deGrasse Tyson / Science.”
The fact: A light year is the distance that light travels in one year. That is exactly approximately 5.88 trillion miles.
The meaning:
Before that, she says, “I'm a light year.”
She defines the distance between herself and her competition not emotionally (“I'm much better”), but mathematically precisely. She is literally a light year ahead of them.
This again underscores the theme: no emotions, just hard facts and science.

„7 dots on your screen / Like stars gotta claim ours“
This line is a direct reference to the group Jurin belongs to (XG).
7 Dots: The girl group XG consists of 7 members.
The meaning:
When you look at the starry sky or a radar screen, you see dots.
She compares the 7 members of the group to a constellation. They are not just musicians, they are celestial bodies that “claim ours” in the universe.
This fits with the title of XG's previous album or song (“Shooting Star”), which solidifies their identity.

„Send 'em black hole that's a favor“
This is a very aggressive “diss” (insult) disguised as an astrophysical metaphor.
Black Hole: A black hole swallows everything, even light. Nothing escapes it.
Favor: Normally, destruction is not a favor.
The meaning: She says that destroying her opponents (sending them into the black hole) is actually nice of her.
Why? Because compared to her (“Quasar,” ‘Supernova’), they shine so weakly that it's better for them to just disappear completely instead of embarrassing themselves.
It's the ultimate dominance: “I'm wiping you out, and you should thank me for it.”

“I'm like Christopher Nolan on a Neumann”
Two worlds collide here: film directing and music recording.
Christopher Nolan: He is one of the most famous directors in the world (Inception, Oppenheimer, Dark Knight).
He is known for complex, mind-bending plots, visual impact and – very important for this song – for the film “Interstellar.”
Since the song has a space theme, the rapper compares herself here to the director of the ultimate modern space epic.
Neumann: This is a reference to Neumann microphones (e.g., the U87). They are considered the “gold standard” in recording studios. It is the Rolls-Royce of microphones.
The meaning: “When I rap into the microphone (Neumann), the result is as epic, complex, and high-quality as a Christopher Nolan film.”
She is saying, “I'm not making little TikTok songs here, I'm making blockbuster art.”

“Punching like Tyson is science / I'm Neil de Grass”
This is a first-class double entendre that plays on the name “Tyson.”
Mike Tyson: When people talk about “punching” in rap, they usually mean “punchlines” (the lines that hit the opponent).
The comparison with Mike Tyson (the boxer) is a classic in hip-hop for hard hits.
Neil deGrasse Tyson: He is the most famous astrophysicist in the US and pop culture explainer for the universe.
The twist: She says, “Punching like Tyson is science.” She doesn't lash out wildly like the boxer Mike, but her “punches” (words) are precise science.
This allows her to elegantly switch from Mike Tyson to Neil deGrasse Tyson.
The meaning: Her rap skills are intellectual and scientifically sound. She dominates not through violence, but through knowledge and technique.

They killed it!🔥🐺🛸👽🖖🏻

Thank youuu sooo much for having me on for this one! THIS WAS SUCH A BANGER! 🔥🔥

Space theme is basically what XG was on from the very beginning.. The Company that was built around them is XGALX ( at first the name was X-Galaxy). Most of their MV´s are about them being Aliens doing Alien stuff😉 That´s what makes it so good imo.. it´s not a trend or a gimmick for them. It´s just them.
As far as i know there is no info on any solo album yet. There are speculations that there will be more Solo Songs on the upcuming full XG Album "The Core".. but i haven´t seen any confirmation yet." PS 118" probably has double/tripple/quadruple meaning. One of them is Public School 118 in NYC

Jurin is the leader of XG , rappers Jurin Maya cocona Harvey, singers juria chisa Hinata, 7 Japanese girls, extraordinary girls xpop , I give you credit you know about xG bravo 👏 the female lady

It's real easy for people who don't know to feel like Rapsody's last verse was kinda light, but....get off my wave..light travels in waves..so...she saying that you are in her light. Then "I'm volatile, I don't follow rules, I don't behave" Stars that are volatile are about to collapse. When they do, they turn into black holes, and the amount of gravity produced by a black hole literally breaks all known rules of physics. She says "I'm sharper than a blade(blade is another way to discribe a ray of light). I'm a different type of grade(Stars are graded by how bright they are, it is literally called their "gradient") and I mean that with shade. When an object blocks light, it casts a shadow....which is literally what shade is ....a shadow! So much in so little words, but that is ... a higher intellect from a legend MC.

And Cocona did a viral rap over JiD’s Surround Sound beat and Maya did a rap over Dreamville’s Down Bad with JID, J Cole and others. XG and Simon are students of music history and always respectful toward artists and so authentic , they are not playing at rap a d hip hop, they ARE hip hop in their core as well as R&B and other genres of music. Also Jurin and Rapsody get lyricist credit on PS118 as well as giants like Shintaro Yasuda

ALPHAZ on deck!  I remember the old beginning to Star Trek: Space.  The Final Frontier.  XG have the space wolves theme and this song pushes limits.  A collab with a GOAT Queen like Rapsody is final frontier shit.  Jurin leans in and keeps up with an MC that is a legend.  Blows my mind.

After this song I just had way to many ideas for features that I would love to see.

1)Cocona on a song with Cardi B. and Billie Eilish
2)Maya on a song with Lex Bratcher and Snow tha Product
3)Chisa with Christina Aguilera
4)Hinata with Tyla and Chris Brown
5)Juria with H.E.R.
6)Juria with Sza and Coco Jones
7)Harvey with Doja Cat
8)Harvey with Saweetie and Dua Lipa
9)Juria, Hinata, Chisa, with Khalid
10)Jurin and Wynne
11)Jurin, Harvey, Cocona, Maya, with Coast Contra
12)Jurin, Harvey, Cocona, Maya, with D. Smoke
13)XG with Blackpink
14)XG with Megan Thee Stallion
15)XG with Adele
16)Cocona, Maya, Harvey, Jurin, with Tech N9ne and King Crooked I
17)Jurin and Maya with Conner Price
18)XG with Aundrey Nuna, Ejae, and Rei Ami
19)XG with John Legend
