The voice of my childhood

seeing wells as an oriole is refreshing

Can't believe this was 24 years ago.

David wells was a clutch october pitcher forgot he was on this team nostalgic!

These 2 teams met in 1996 and 1997. Amazing, both times the better team lost. I am a tribe fan and first thing I will say is that the Orioles totally outplayed us in 1996. Then somehow we prevailed in 1997. Marquis Grissom’s game 2 home run was the pivotal moment in that series.

Nostalgia overload

Its wild seeing fans not wearing any sports gear..

Thank God for the pitching clock. Wells was Well over 30 seconds per pitch

Brings back so many great memories. I had just started 10th grade and couldn't wait to get off school at 2:15 to come home and watch the game.

I was an avid Indians fan back in the 90's. Our pitching was really embarrassing this whole series, but particularly in game 1. Baltimore's offense really had their way with us.

Never should have driven Davey Johnson away...

Man, do i miss Jon Miller calling O's games.... his voice and Chuck Thompson's are the soundrack of my youth, memories falling asleep in the back seat listening to the post game driving through 33rd street traffic after a late come-from-behind win. Orioles Magic!

(Not to forget Brooksie, either)

GO O's !!!

Palmeiro definitely passing roids around to his teammates in the clubhouse lol.... but it also made baseball popular and entertaining back then

This had to be somewhat awkward for Jon Miller. He was the Orioles' regular announcer at the time but stories were going around that Peter Angelos was unhappy with his commentary and was going to fire him after the season (which he did - Miller went to the Giants the next year). So, for the first-ever MLB playoff game on ESPN and the first playoff game in Baltimore since 1983, Miller had to announce the team he was employed by and whom he was on the outs with.

upload the 4th game of that series where they won that game overcoming 12 strikeouts from Charles Nagy.

I'm shocked a great game in Baltimore and it's not raining haha. It feels like come baseball season it's always raining in Baltimore. I went for the 30th anniversary of Camden Yards when they played the Pirates and it rained the entire weekend.

homerun derby with the world's highest paid ball boys.
