First-ever postseason game in Texas Rangers franchise history winning it in the process.

I remember this like it was yesterday and I was just a 10 year old boy in love with baseball back then. People make fun of me till this day being a Yankees fan in Ohio, thinking I’m just a bandwagon fan, but they fail to realize I liked them even before they went on their dynasty run. Heck I even cried when they lost the year before to the Mariners. I cried like a baby when Griffey slid across home plate. Little did I know at that time only liking the Yanks for 3 years it felt like an eternity from them winning anything, that I was really spoiled growing up. I thought they were supposed to win every year. Now in my 30’s I often go back to these videos of their 90s success because there hasn’t been a whole lot to reminisce about in present day the past 10 years or so. So I thank you for posting this video. Cheers!

That intro was awesome. Especially its use of Hans Zimmer's score from The Rock (the SF car chase scene).

Great add, please add the rest of the series.

Juan Gone's immortal game. First playoff victory for Texas. They went 0-9 against NYY after this in the playoffs before finally doing well in 2010. Thank you for the VOD, been lookin for this one for a while!

I like Costas’ narration of the Alomar-umps dispute to the tune of the ‘Terminator 2’ theme playing at Yankee Stadium.

👍

Thank you so much for posting this! JOHN F. BURKETT was money! Day made!

You are the MAN!! Thank you for this!

both teams were stacked

The Rangers could've easily won this series

2:00:56 Uecker's Zimmer joke

Weird the rangers wore red on the road

I found a baseball after the swap meet in Riverside CA, says it was the 11th homerun ball from this game... Who hit this ball?

Rangers first post season game, they would win this game, lose their next nine all to the Yankees and not make it back until 11 years after that
