This was the end of 5 year run for the Orioles, plus Jon Miller and Dave Johnson were gone.  Started a streak of 14 years of losing baseball in Baltimore.

Two of the Great pitchers of the 90s. What a battle!

Make the Orioles Great Again!

2:10:42 The locker room music is absolutely bangin!

Those powerful 1990s Mariners teams were the perfect example of good pitching beating good hitting. 11 runs total in 4 games in this series - for a team that would often times score 10+ runs in a game. Great offense in baseball is fun and entertaining to watch, but you can't just bash your way to a World Series title.

Randy pitched a freakin gem of a game, hard L. That home run in the first, one pitch after a non-strike 3 call, was a sign of misfortune for the day.

Armando Benítez always stressed me out.

At least 7 hall of famers in this series

Mussina had that nasty knuckle curve, my dad was an Indians fan, during their series that year, he dropped that pitch striking out a few Indians, my dad had a few choice words.....LOL

1:09:41 imagine being up at bat, and looking towards the mound, and you see that 👀

I'm a Yankee fan who first taste of playoff baseball was the Mariners crushing Mattingly's last hope of getting a ring in 1995 right after the Yankees went into the 1994 strike with the best record in the AL. As much as Mattingly not getting a ring still stings after all these years it's an absolute CRIME that Mariners team never won a ring. Prime Randy Johnson, Griffey, A-Rod, Buhner, Edgar Martinez etc... One of the scariest mlb teams in recent memory rings or not.

AROD, Griffey, edgar.........what a killer 3. just shows giving mega contracts on position players will not get you to WS. ohtani and trout is another combo.

Something ain't right with the radar guns.

Randy Johnson is right handed in the thumbnail

This Orioles team was World Series calibre. Unfortunately for them the Yankees & Indians were inordinately strong in that era.

As much as Randy did sometimes slip in the playoffs and not always quite live up to his regular season play (2001 considered the year he changed that idea), only getting 1 run from Griffey/A-Rod/Martinez hurts. Giving up 3 runs to those Baltimore teams of the 90s is highly impressive and had his stacked offence even played average he’d have won

Poor Jay Buhner grounded out to end both of the Mariners playoff runs in 95 and 97

Remember when the Orioles were always a good team? If ur over 40 probably not. Mussina was a great pitcher. Somebody spend some money on the Orioles and bring them back to glory

Remember this team, my birds went wire to wire, then they ran into a very good Cleveland team, but it wasn't as bad as the 1996 playoffs when my birds were robbed in NY by a Yankees fan.

I miss the days the Orioles we're competitive
