I broke with you during Kite man. Cheers

"Kite" live at Slane Castle is worth checking out. It's kind of a weird narrative, because it's Bono talking to his dad, as well as Bono's dad talking to him, but it's also Bono talking to his children and his children talking back to him. It's just this idea that your children will worry about you as you get older the same way that you worried over them when they were young. It's beautiful. It's like the antithesis of "Dirty Day" from Zooropa.

Stuck in a moment is about Michael Hutchence - beautiful song

U2 and Led Zepplin have  always and continues to be my go to music. U2 concerts have been in my top 3 in my 55 years of going to concerts. ❤❤

For me this album is about the grace, love and the meaning of life   that passes through you and reveals the beauty of life.

They performed the super bowl that next year and Bono did wear the us flag lined jacket as part of the performance. They had a scrolling list of all the names of those lost the 9/11 attack which was a part of this tour's stage show. ❤

I cry every time I hear Kite. It is devastatingly beautiful. Also, there is a video of Bono singing this live at Slane Castle right after his dad's death in 2001. It will break your heart.

Boss you gotta do the full POP album

This album changed my life.

I was 14/15 when it came out. It was the first U2 record I brought. I was just finding my own way with music and this was one of the first albums I got into. Not their best album for me but easily their most important to me.

It was a record written for a world post 9/11 but somehow came out a year before it happened. The album took on a whole new meaning after 9/11. It was a massive album for them and was a comfort for a lot of people , especially Americans. This record was huge in America.

Not going to lie when you broke during kite it broke me as well , such a beautiful  hard hitting song

The ground beneath her feet was never on the original album , it was bonus track in the U.K. Grace is the last song on the album

Bono used to say “ the goal is soul” around this era and it certainly was

Loving your u2 journey.

Also for context and this album.. later in the year 9/11 happened and in many ways this became a healing sound from New York to Walk On... it really hit hard later in the year. So you were right about that... also the airport theme of the images of the album play into that as well.

The first 4 tracks are what you come for, Kite and When I Look At The World are what you stay for

This albumn and supporting Elevation tour helped America heal after 9/11. I saw two of their Boston shows that were filmed for the DVD in June, but the two concerts I saw in Providence, 6 weeks after 9/11, were the two best concerts I've ever been to. Every song had more weight and significance to it. Chants of USA in the crowd, the names of the victims during One, there wasn't a dry eye in the building.

"In A Little While" - the secret of this song is Bono's guitar in the left channel. You can't really pick it out of the mix unless you wear headphones. It's so simple and I don't think that a good guitar player would have ever convinced himself to play it. It's those little things that lift U2 into a different category than "regular old pop" IMO.

Stuck in a Moment was written for Michael Hutchense, lead singer of INXS and good friend of Bono, who tragically committed suicide

Kite is heartbreakingly beautiful and is my favorite U2 song

Damn it Kite! Dude such a genuine reaction I felt like I was watching myself 25 years ago.  My advice with U2 is the heart of every one of their songs can been seen, heard, and felt watching them perform it live.  Love watching you go through these albums.  Elevation tour live anywhere would be a good next show.

This tour inMadison Square Garden after 9/11 2001, I believe it was late Oct. Was the first time I was out of shock. They rolled the names of all the murdered people.  It dawned on us we might eventually  heal. U2 heals. Its grace.

You should react to "How to dismantle an atomic bomb", i would like to see how's your reaction about "Sometimes you can't make it on your own" particularly. You're finally discovering the best band ever :D

Haha, you got GOT by Kite, it is a beauty. You have to finish PoP dude! and then BOOM U2 bring out the new EP, while everyone's reacting to their past! Great to have them back! We used to play New York as we got ready to hit the town...but you end up hitting the bars and clubs with WAY to much attitude...Hahaha!! Then at the end you get Salmon Rushdie's song from the Ground Beneath her Feet (recommended reading!), and The Million Dollar Hotel. But you're right, Grace is the end. Ground beneath was added as a bonus track on later releases.

Guitarist Edge is a sonic genius
