FIND ATEN. KILL SATURN. BURN ELYSIUM.

The saga of crimes from Jim onion begins

"ThAt ToOk WhAt!?!!!??"

Hell yeah, thank you for reacting to this one!

There is this great channel called "Gneiss Name" who is a geologist and talks about the geology of Minecraft and has done a video on vintage story. He does loads of videos displaying data in Minecraft, like the total biomass on earth or amount of resources we use. He has shown the scale of biomass on Earth and a visualization of the viability of planting trees to reverse climate change. How color spaces and averages compare, these use nice 3d graphs in data packs he uses.
Basically its short interesting videos about topics in geology and color theory and the world in general all displayed with nice animations and graphics he makes in Minecraft. He works full time in his profession so he is the kind of youtuber who posts about a video a month on average.

Oh, I hope you watch this one more, cause this series goes crazy hard. Especially one later that I won’t spoil, but will say it involves a place that starts with a “B”.

Torched is honestly an amazing series

Ah, The Burned World of Torched, my favorite series on YouTube!

7:20 So, Gregory Mathematical may or may not be the primary cause of their faction rep tanking at the beginning. He would constantly look down on the "barbaric and uncivilized" outsiders (in a funny asshole kind of way though, not an actually mean way). Very much the snobby book smart character.

13:15 What Jay was about to say about the Hydration mod, is that it had a setting in it to unfuck the server. He was troubleshooting why the server was running so poorly shortly before the start of the series, and eventually someone mentioned the Hydration mod having a setting to literally just fix the issue, defaulted to off for some reason. A single chatter and mod setting saved Torched, but unfortunately I don't remember their name.

17:00 Scorch! Fun fact, when Jay was building up Torched, Scorch said he wanted to do anything except being yet another knight type character, after being the Doomslayer in Avalon and the one-man war machine head of security for Wyverns Rest in Ren. Jay then told him about the Solar Knight faction, and Scorch immediately volunteered to be the Lord Commander. It just runs in his hotdog blood.

17:55 I love Old Man Chu'dd. Comma to the top/Gods Comma makes me giggle every time.

19:20 So this Cheese Pie moment, after watching all of the vods of Torched, still remains my favorite single moment of the series. The whole stream had me chuckling but then Pat Rutabaga exploding at Jim Onion fully sent me into a cackling fit. "TUUURN, DAMN YOU!" lives in my head forever. Thus, the beginning of Jim Onion's infinitely heinous crimes. Cursed be his name.

20:40 Little bit of background on this decision, two Azurite factions came up, one wanting to turtle up in the vault and the other wanting to continue diplomacy efforts. Jay, thinking that it would both be boring to sit in the vault all stream and it would be funny to try and strategically relocate some technology to make an outpost, decided to grab Jonni Depths and head out. This would be one of the best decisions Jay would make.

28:45 This unknown Dunekin mentioning the Oil Rig ended up being very, very funny in hindsight. Jay would eventually want to be taken there, and no matter who he asked, none of the other Dunekin knew where it was, and he couldn't find the person who mentioned it here. Like, for a couple streams on and off just asking people and eventually breaking RP and asking chat directly if they remembered who it was. I think Jonni would also pull up this vod to try and find out who, but Jay never looked at them close enough to pop their name.

29:30 Jasper Shale, totally not tanking their faction rep even more after trying to raise it.

39:00 Forgot to mention it earlier, but Jay took his Hell Lightning from Ren and made it even worse for Torched.

A quick two fun facts about Splash (I think it's Splash, anyway, the guy playing Jonni Depths), he's been friends with Jay for a very long time, and they're close enough that when he was once hit by a car while on foot, the first person he called was Jay before Jay told him to call his dad or something, lol. Second, he has a redeem on his stream that makes him talk in the Solid Snake voice for like 5 or 10 or so minutes.

52:00 Yeah, it's pretty great that a technical issue ended up adding to the story a bit.

Thanks for the reaction! I definitely look forward to seeing you experience more of this Burned World called Torched.

10:51 ok so vintage story does have background music, but I think it's the same as Minecraft where it doesn't play all the time

Holy, finally, I gotta tell you I love this series especially Baldur arc

I know Rimmy played Gregory, but everytime he speaks I half expect him to start taking points for stupidity

You gonna love it

24:25 "Skootles Left." 😔

YEAHHHHH HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE

You know, having looked back at this series once again, and having just REALLY gotten to this part in Warframe, two of these factions remind me a LOT of the Luminaries.

great story

Quail Al Gaib.  Also IIRC Rubix is the one who wrote all the lore.

The Hype is real!

Algorithm demands engagement

Woohoo! Finally!
