James Brown asked Weird Al to do a parody of him! Lent him his band, extras, etc. And taught him the moves. You know you've made it when Weird Al parodies you!!
i don't care if it has already been said before: james brown himself gave him his backup singers for this, taught Al his moves and even gave him his cape for the finale. and that is legit the same crew that did living in amercia
Fun fact: James B. helped Al with the dancing and stage and dancers/singers are the original from the movie. "hurts me bad... in a tender location" lol
The double kick where he pushes the mic stand away and brings it smoothly back are serious old school performance moves. Great to see Weird Al keeping the showmanship alive.
You know you are a weird Al fan when it's his parody lyrics that pop into your head and not the original when the song shows up on the radio , and in tv or movies.
as someone who has been a fan of Weird Al since middle school this is absolutely amazing getting to watch you discover him and all his songs, it reminds me of when we would show these songs to our new friends for the first time
