Groucho Marx gave an explanation as to why the movie was called "Duck Soup".

"Take two turkeys, one goose, four cabbages, but no duck, and mix them together. After one taste, you'll duck soup the rest of your life."

That gag with the tattoos is absolutely batshit insane 90 years later.

"He gets mad because he can't read." was one of the best Marx Bros. lines ever.

Wait what the hell that dog affect was actually insanely good

Groucho truly is timeless, his humor and style work just as well today as anytime.

Still stands as one of the funniest movies ever made.

My dad and I used to watch this when I was little. Classic and beautiful how it's in color.

Oh man🤣 ....that dog in the tattoo gag🤣

My favorite line from the movie is "Help help, we are three men and one woman trapped in a house.  If you can't send help send two more women."

Love how you could hear every sound being made on the stage in older movies.

Oooh that is trippy. I definitely prefer it in black n white! 😂

I think I was the only teenager my age that wanted a DVD box set of the Marx Brothers including this movie

Colorized movies have improved over the decades

I’m 17 but I grew up watching the Marx brothers and it’s really enjoyable to scroll the comments and see the range of ages that all have connections to it

This is legendary as are the Marx Brothers. Groucho had some of the best lines which stand up quite well to this very day nearly a centruy later.

In 1971 at my apartments clubhouse when I was ten years old they used to show The Marx Brothers and also Abbott & Costello films on a 16mm projector on Saturday afternoons. I am glad I was allowed the opportunity. Renting a film was not cheap, and this was over tens years before videocassettes.

One of my favorite movies of the marks brothers was a night at the opera.😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤

Thankfully you got Harpo's hair color correct!

Colour brings out the best in Harpo's costumes. This must be one of the best ever movies.

I will never stop laughing at the Marx Brothers movies.  Interesting to see Groucho break the fourth wall in that scene
