When I was in the 7th grade, I got a note to go to the priciples office and when I got there my dad was there and he said he was there to take me to the dentist. I said I didn't have a dentist appointment and my dad cut me off and insisted that I did have a dentist appointment. We left the school and went across the street to the mall that had a six screen theater which was a big deal in the early 70's and we watched Blazin Saddles. I laughed like I had never laughed before and when it was over my dad took me back to school. The next school year it happened again and we watched Young Frankenstein. I love you dad and I miss you. I'm 64 now.

This movie could never be made today. So glad I saw this world when we actually COULD LIVE TOGETHER.

"Normally he doesn't laugh. He can hold it in," said no one who ever worked with Harvey Korman on "The Carol Burnett show" =)

Fast forward to 2025. "Blazing Saddles" remains the funniest movie ever made.

“Excuse me while I whip this out.”

I can't imagine any other actors in these parts. The entire film was simply golden. 😂 Same with Young Frankenstein.

So, we went to a studio sneak peek in Westwood at a theatre on Wilshire Boulevard. When we went into the theater, we noticed that two rows in the middle of the theater were roped off. So, we sat down and the move started.. it was Blazing Saddles. I remember that the entire cast were in those two rows. During the movie, you could hear Madeline Kahn laughing out loud. It was a great experience.

Mel Brooks is a National Treasure. Everything he's touched is comedic gold. And a special nod to Gene Wilder. No words necessary.

Back when society had a collective sense of humor.
Thanks social media for giving voice to those that are compelled to tell others what is funny or not.
Blazing Saddles is sheer brilliance.

Blazing Saddles and Life of Brian. The two best film comedies ever.

Cleavon Little could have been bigger than Eddie Murphy, so talented and taken from us way too soon 😢

I saw Blazing Saddles, with my two older brothers, in 1974. It remains, to this day, the only film I have seen where I lost voluntary control of my motor functions. I actually slid off the seat to the floor with laughter!
