I can't believe this is a live version - it's as brilliant as the recording!
The Specials never date. The music lives on.

I love the Dub influences in their music

German from Berlin here, 63 years old and Oi Skinhead since 1979, those were the absolute top gigs with The Selecter, The Beat and others

I was at college in Coventry (the Specials hometown) when they came on the scene, absolutely brilliant live, count myself very lucky to have been there at that time, some great live music before it became 'Ghost Town'. Cheers

Loved the Two-Tone era ..

Ska punk (two tones) explosion! Punks, early skinheads and Rude Boys together.

A lot of bands from this era took their inspiration from Jamaican bands.

I was 13 when this came out! Perfect age! Was a young skin!

The Rude Boys (Two Tone )of Britain were always popular in Canada. This band and also The Monks and The Beat.

I don’t think America has ever been into two-tone and ska. There’s a lot of great music in the UK that Americans would never heard of.

Great song based on a 1968 song called Birth Control by Lloyd Charmers

I love that you love the Specials - they had some serious s**t to say in the 80's

Incredible. I lived through this era in the UK. I was so lucky. I came into music at the start of the Punk era, saw out the end of Disco, lived through Ska and New Wave, into the electro 80’s. How lucky was I?
