Thanx for the video mate. I think it would be great if you could maybe do a video on making a good survival kit, buying all the things separate, listing what you would need, eg: shelter, tarp, knife, fishing kit, rope/para cord, a small stove, basic fire lighting kit, basic waterproofs, gloves, socks, mylar blanket, basic rucksack, maybe candles, basic first aid kit, etc, etc and then list how much it all cost to just do it yourself. Cheers

Mike, now make one for us for 1/4 of the price!

insane price for the contents

a tip for using a fire steel , if you hold the striker in place where you want the spark then run the steel over the striker it will concentrate the spark as apposed to scattering the sparks

Kudos to them for using name brand batteries for the headlamp instead of dollar store trash ones.

The gel doesn't go up in flames; it heats up and can be used to heat water or food in a tin cup or pan. They used to use them in the military.

I build my own. Everyone's conditions are different. Esee makes good stuff, however.

I think u should do two video of making ur own go bag one where money not a option and one for on a budget so u cover all type of people

Great video as always. All that pack was missing was a slot for a couple of emergency beers, to boost morale! 🍻

Thanks for showing us the kit! About the only things I would alter is adding a survival lifestraw for filtration to compliment the water treatment and adding a yo-yo reel for fishing. I would also remove the rope, upgrade the tarp, remove the trash bags and add a pocket thermal blanket. I'd ditch the fire gel and add some petroleum cotton balls. With the extra room I might add a pair of wool socks and a titanium spork/knife eating utensil, a few steel or titanium skewers/tent stakes. I don't like the headlamp and would go with a rechargeable variety, more compact like the Nebo. I also think a compact power bank would be useful in this day and age. Overall it's a nice kit for people who don't want to make their own, and it only lacks a few items for my needs and requires only a few upgrades from my perspective. The price is hefty, but it's branded.

Loads to love, as all the items are a quality worth having.  A good portion of the kit should go into your pockets, leaving room for food and a water bottle.  Add a few "consumables" and good to go.

I was thinking to myself that to shelter yourself, you can combine the small tarp and the trash bag by taping them together to make it bigger, and use the other one to protect yourself from the damp ground or to enlarge the tarp if necessary. I think the most important thing with this type of bag is your ability to improvise rather than its contents, but this one is really comprehensive for its size. It would be nice to see it in action .

Those yellow bags are great for storing gear or a change of clothes in your pack. Easy to see, and waterproof if you squeeze the air out and tie a knot in it. You can blow it up and put it in your pack if you have enough space to float your pack, or put your pack in it.

I’m by no means a survivalist, to be honest I can barely survive in my fully equipped warm home!😂 but I would have thought that there would be more of a first aid kit, the dressings are great, as is the duct tape but what about wound cleaning, tourniquet although I guess you could use one of the bag straps, I would at the very least want some cohesive bandage which can be used in a variety of situations, dressings and plasters. When I used to go hiking I alway had two rolls of vetwrap( a cheaper and much better cohesive bandage) a few dressings, antibacterial/alcohol wipes, plasters, tweezers and some sort of wound cream/ spray which could be used on me or the dog, lightweight and took up barely any room, but like I said, I can barely survive sat on my sofa! If I got stuck in the wilderness I’d be the first one to eat the “wrong” berries and😵 or try to cuddle a bear for warmth🤷🏻‍♀️.

One thing I would add for personal preference is spare reading glasses.

I live in Green Bay Wisconsin and in my 71 years never experienced anything even close to earthquakes, hurricaines, Tsunamis, ( Thank the heavens) and while I can SAY I can imagine what you're going thru" the truth is, I can't.

The more I watch videos like these, I can see where a survival kit for an Earthquake wont touch the needs of a Hurricaine victim,  or a Tsunami. The only need they all have in common is that they buyer of these kits want to live from one day to the next. Is there a hard and fast list of items everyone needs ?

Because I haven't faced what these areas have faced, Im concerned about a grid failure and failing in prepping for one.

A a tourniquet should have been included in the first aid section of the bag

Calling outdoor gear "the most expensive" is just daring Benchmade or Leatherman to make something even more expensive yet.

Thanks I think this is awesome.... and I love how you do breakdowns from cheapest to most expensive
